Disney animator James Lopez and a few other animators that lost their jobs at Disney from the 2D cutdowns, are currently raising money for a project he's been working on the last couple years: A 2D Animated Steampunk film called Hullabaloo.

This looks really good. I need more 2D animation and I will gladly support this just like I will with Dawgtown. I just hope that they will be able to do well.

I've known about this for a while thanks to their Facebook page. Sent them 25 bucks.

Looking for some stories?

Sweet! I was sad that Constant Payne wasn't picked up, and this seems like just the thing to fill that long-empty void my heart.

>ex-Disney

>that high level of quality

>The Disney Corporation is not getting a penny out of it

COUNT ME IN!

P.S. If you think about it, this is history repeating itself. In the late 70s, Don Bluth left Disney to make an animated film of his own, free of corporate restrictions. And now these guys are doing the same thing.

I hope it doesn't end up too Disney-like. 'I wouldn't quit Disney just to do Disney.'

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great

Too bad I'm flat broke, or else I would have donated something. 2d animation plus female leads? Count me in.

I really hope history doesn't repeat with these guys the way it did with Don Bluth. Poor guy just couldn't catch a break from the 90s onward.

Let's summon it up: 2-D animation In Disney Quality in Steam Punk style (I always thought hat Steam Punk is perfect for animation) and with a female lead....

Want, want, want!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully this projects ends better than certain other independent projects.

Hullabaloo has been funded as of a few minutes ago! Now let's deal with those stretch goals.

I'm glad because I grew up on 2D animation, and thanks to us, this is now going to become a reality and this animation style will be saved!
