I don't really see what the arguable part of that statement is.
I sure said that!I find a ton of things about Smash!Megaman to be arguable. :V
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyWill Matthew Taranto continue to predict the future? We'll see.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectHearing Kirby yelling "Hadouken" would be the cutest thing.
I heard a theory somewhere else that it's possible that Ryu might be a DLC fighter to promote an as-of-yet unknown game. What that game could be? Nintendo vs Capcom.
That would be impossible. Street Fighter V is exclusive to Sony and PC because Sony is developing SFV as well.

Or Street Fighter V coming to the Wii U.
Sony are also behind the new Dissidia game. They seem to be behind a lot of new japanese games right now(probably because console gaming in Japan isn't as large as it used to be and needs as much of a support as it can get).
Well, Nintendo is getting other companies to partner up and make games for 'em, so why not?
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectA lot of companies started the idea of an exclusive and changed that. I am doubting a sudden Nintendo VS Capcom over a port.
That said, both are believable, but it's probably just because Ryu is super iconic as a fighting character and deserving on those merits alone. Also, and I read this a bit earlier, the idea of having Ryu in Smash might help make people at EVO appreciate Smash and Street Fighter(honestly doesn't seem like it'll help to me, but it's the thought that counts, I guess?).
Honestly, the fact that Ryu is the fighting game character is enough grounds for him to be worth a place in the Smash roster, upcoming game or not.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."And that's where the series began anyway.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectThe entire genre as we know it, too, since Ryu's game was the Trope Codifier for fighting games, after all. If it wasn't for Street Fighter II, Smash Bros. most likely would have been much different, if it even were to be made at all.
So yes, the pioneer for modern fighting games definitely deserves a spot in Smash Bros.

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Sakurai played in several SFII tournaments when he was younger, didn't he? Street Fighter probably contributed at least a little to Sakurai's game design for Smash Bros.
If Street Fighter wasn't a thing, I agree that Smash Bros would probably have been very different.
If Street Fighter wasn't a thing, Smash Bros. would've been Street Fighter.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I know I'm a bit late on this, but it wouldn't surprise me if Roy was given the Falco/Ganondorf treatment and was made into a semi-clone.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy. So something similar to "Pramai" appeared in THIS games coding too!?
What does it mean?
I am pretty sure that's supposed to be Plusle and Minun.
Purasuru and Mainan is their japanese names.
Regardless, Mewtwo's the only one who got very far into Brawl of the axed characters, even though it didn't quite make it. You can probably thank Sonic for that.

Not MY boy, but maybe he's yours.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Even if those are fake videos, you can't really fake victory music data.
Still, sweet designs none the less.
they've arguably treated him better in smash than capcom has in years.
