I hope this is adequately over the top.

• Name: Gerhart Von Der Ödland
• Age: 35
• Gender: Male
• Appearance: Gerhart is a fairly tall and well built man (He looks something like this, minus the plate armour◊) who wears a ramshackle suit of armour comprised of a leather jacket with chainmail attached to various spots◊, a scavenged pig faced bascinet◊ and a pair of rusty gauntlets◊.
• Style: Klinge der Rechtschaffenheit (Blade of Righteousness) is an old martial arts style dating back to Crusades era Europe that mainly focuses on the use of the various weapons common in that particular epoch (Gerhart specializes in the use of a poleaxe◊ as well as the classic sword◊ and shield◊ combo^note The image links are for giving an idea of what Gerhart's running about with, I'm not posting them because I think you're too dumb to know what a poleaxe is). Practitioners of Klinge der Rechtschaffenheit tend to focus on using their armour and endurance to shrug off blows that would kill lesser men and then use their massive strength and skill with their chosen arms to cleave through their foes with a righteous fury.
  • Geblüht der Macht: Armed with his Poleaxe, Gerhart approaches a foe and swings the axe's hammer end at their knees. If this proves successful, he will follow it up by hooking the axe's head around whatever limb is available, dragging his foe towards him and driving a gauntleted fist directly into their face.
  • Ruhmvoll Angriff: Gerhart charges at his opponent with his poleaxe and begins thrusting at them with the weapon's spearhead until he's close enough to hook the haft behind his opponent's neck and attempt to slam his opponent's face into his bascinet's "beak". Should this succeed, Gerhart will continue by backing up and making an overhead poleaxe swing at his opponent's skull.
  • Macht der Erlösung: With his poleaxe in one hand and sword in the other, Gerhart stabs at his opponent with his poleaxe with all of his might, the intention being to impale his opponent in the weapon, before pulling them in close enough to (attempt to) lop their head off with his sword.
  • Flut von Eisen Wielding his sword and shield, Gerhart charges his foe so that his shield is pressed against his opponent's torso allowing him to repeatedly strike at his foe's back before finishing them off with a helmeted headbutt.
  • Bedrohung der Stadt Gerhart bashes his foe with his shield, potentially sending them flying or simply knocking them back several feet.
• Personality: Gerhart's primary focus in life is to protect those who cannot protect themselves and will gladly lay down his life if it means that he might protect someone from an untimely demise. Other than his intense desire to protect the innocent, Gerhart is a rather calm and friendly man who wants nothing more than to let those trying to make their way in wastelands do just that. Though should he witness any acts he would deem evil (Unwarranted violence, stealing and general bandit stuff, etc.), Gerhart will retaliate swiftly and violently.
• Background: Gerhart is one of the last few living practitioners of Klinge der Rechtschaffenheit and quite possibly the only able-bodied practitioner left on the planet. Faced with choosing between settling down to teach a new generation the style and wandering the wastelands to protect those in need, Gerhart chose the latter and now wanders from settlement to settlement serving as a defender of those in need. It was during a stay at one of the aforementioned settlements that Gerhart encountered NERO's forces. Despite fighting valiantly and slaying numerous foes, Gerhart was overwhelmed by a trio of particularly skilled officers and was knocked unconscious during the battle. Without Gerhart to handle the brunt of NERO's forces, the people of the settlement were slowly overwhelmed and slaughtered. Upon awakening to the carnage caused by NERO's men, Gerhart knew that he would have to put an end to these damnable acts or die trying.

If anything, he seems kind of tame by Fist of the North Star standards. Even Jagi and Amiba could've probably taken on a bunch of minions without much fuss, and any of the serious masters certainly could've. Maybe instead of being overwhelmed by numbers, he was defeated by a particularly strong officer? That's just my opinion though.
