Here's a possible new trope. I find that western films and video games that have asian female leads, the character is usually designed with a purple streak in their hair. Some examples include Mako Mori in Pacific Rim, Wildstyle in the Lego movie (ethnicity unknown), Go Go Tomago in Big Hero 6, and Miko from The Grinder (videogame).
Personally, I don't like this trope. It reminds me of the dragon lady stereotype of the 30s.
