I know about William, and that Michael was the FNAF 4 Protagonist. I think it was implied he was also prior protagonists as well, but that's less definite so I didn't include it.
So the Survival Logbook just came out recently. The gimmick of it seems to be: Mike Afton adds comments and observations in red ink whilst faded text indicates the Bite Victim and/or William getting involved.
Additionally, the logbook confirms that Michael Afton is the player character of F Na F 4 main gameplay.
I'm which MatPat spends three minutes shilling his merch, recaps what we got confirmed in Pizzeria Simulator, theorizes the Fruity Maze minigame gives us the origin of Mangle, connects Midnight Motorist to the title screen of FNAF 4, and promises to tackle the gravestone screen and the Box in a later video. There's implications that the Security Logbook will factor into the later video, as it's shown in the ? of a question Matt's not entirely sure on.
If Michael is the protagonist of 4's gameplay, does that mean the nightmares are his guilt over what happened to the Crying Child or that he is crying child?

I do so love how Mat Pat and Scott Cawthon seem to be archenemies.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!So I read on Wikipedia that the Producer for the film 'retreated from the film due to Warner Bros. Turnaround'. Does this mean the FNAF movie is dead? I was actually looking forward to it.
"Wow, I've never seen a Game Theory video that was so, completely, utterly off-base." - Scott Cawthon, troll master extraordinaire.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Scott has said on reddit that the movie is still in production, it’s just that he’s working with Blumhouse now.

This account is dead. I’ve said a lot of dumb things in the past and I wish to forget them. I’m sorry if I’ve ever hurt anyone. At this point, I belive scott is making new games just to bait Matt into main gubernamentales ew theories.

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"That's good! I'm looking forward to it!
The only thing that has me excited for the film is the use of actual animatronics for the animatronics. I mean, there's not much else to be excited about, since we know next to nothing about it, so I'd say I'm pretty excited.
Slight correction: Jasom Blum was the producer of Get Out, not the director, who was Jordon Peele.
Same with Split (M Night Shyamalan Directed that). Good thing, though, that this Producer is on a roll. Gives me higher hopes for this movie.

A reminder that we do have a thread for the FNAF movie. I'm not saying that this is off-topic or anything, we're fine, but when actual news comes out, it might be good to discuss it there. Same with any spoilers about the film.
Tbf, I really don’t see Scott making any more FNAF games in the future since he considers the story to be complete by now and he wants to move onto making other games. Pizza Simulator was created to clarify some of the details and to give a proper conclusion to the series. All that’s left now for the fanbase is to tie the story’s loose ends together.
If the film does come out, I expect it to be a condensation of the games’ lore or an AU just like the books.

To sgamer82:
Mostly on subreddit and other websites believes that Michael is the bully brother.
While there are few who believes that he is the crying child.
And there are the others believe that he is neither the brother nor the child.
I prefer the first one, to be honest.
That's what I've tended to go with, too. Both as a mix of MatPat's theories and it does make sense if the FNAF 4 family is the Aftons.

Its hard to dispute, really. I mean, why else would Sister Location's location be directly under that house?
Heck, not only that 8-bit minigame house but also the main gameplay house and the Plushtrap area.
Mr. Afton must be really rich to have multiple houses

Assuming they aren't all just the same house.
Ah, forgot about that.
In which MatPat takes one last crack at The Box, theorizing on what was originally supposed to be in it, compared to what actually is now. he also promises a future video for Midnight Motorist and the Lorekeeper ending screen, but it won't be the next video he does.

I wonder if Matt Pat will solve the logbook puzzle too?
Scott and this game confirmed that William Afton is actually in Springtrap, not Michael. The game even further implies that the protag you are playing is Michael or Eggs Benedict.
