role of a space goddess?

Hello everyone! I am designing a space goddess character. Usually gods in mythology have a certain role in their world like zeus creating lighting, apollo caring the sun and so on.

I am wondering what would it be some roles for a space god character? (just to give me some ideas). so I don't just make a powerful character that does nothing.

When you say that she's a "space" goddess, do you mean that she governs the principle of space (that is, the physical dimensions, as opposed to temporal or other dimensions) or the region that is space (that is, the bit outside of the roughly-defined bourne of a planet)? (Or some other definition that I've missed? ^^; )

If the latter, she might see to it that planets move as they are supposed to, that nebulae form properly, etc. She might be responsible for the various blasts of radiation that sleet through space, and control the birth, life and final ends of stars.

If the former, I suppose that it would be her responsibility to maintain the integrity of space itself, ensuring that here and there remain separate, and that space continues to expand as intended.

Depending on time period, space goddess could watch over travelers. May even be the means of FTL travel. Maybe customary for any/all space vessels to have small shrine. Possible powers include teleportation or Me's a Crowd. Possible omniscience since she can see all of space. Time dilation and travel abilities by the manipulation of black holes. On that note, can also turn invisible and make mini black holes to destroy people.

I am leaning towards a goddess that has an important role in space interpretation . Kinda like Rosalina from Mario bros role with stars.

Note: I've not played the Super Mario Bros. game that included that character, as far as I recall; indeed, I don't think that I've played a Super Mario Bros. game since Super Mario Bros. 3. ^^;
