With this post order, the likely course of events is for Slick to intervene and stop Xarok from being overrun.

I was out for most of the evening. Now I have some time to post.

It's actually not a hand wave. Slick does have that beta programming trait, which was what I expected the link to go to, lol.

Feel free to find some loot on the raiders if you want. Inceptiond can post a time skip of Isaac leading them to the subway entrance if he wants, if not I'll do it tomorrow.

I guess dropping the minigun to fight in melee wouldn't exactly work, in reflection. The ammo pack is connected to it by a belt of 5mm cartridges, or at least it's supposed to be.

I'll just fight with it on my back like Bryan Fury.

I'd imagine it having a shoulder strap, so if it's released without being placed on the back once more, it can just swing at the waist by that strap.

Yeah, I've mentioned the strap in some of the posts. I guess if I don't have time to reaffix the weapon it'll have to do.

So, just for clarification, we're all at level one, right?

Even if this isn't a tabletop system, certain perks like the "And Stay Back" one would make a pretty huge difference in a firefight against a pack of deathclaws. Or are we not playing with perks?

I'm not using any kind of level system, nor anything like the perk system from the games. This is just free-form writing.

I think Slick was offering Recon one of the raider's severed hands, rather than the weapon it was holding.

Yeah, he was offering Recon the bandit's hand, but also pointing out that there was an unclaimed revolver on the body still.

Recon grabbed the chainsaw, not the pistol. That's what I was referring to by "bulk of metal".

Oh. Well he wouldn't have been able to wrench it out of Slick's hands if he did, much less feel the weight of it, so I thought it was the pistol.

Slick pulled one of the raider's hands off the chainsaw and offered that.
