You're gonna want to change the thread title into something more formal, because almost nobody is going to know what lbp3 is from the outset. Plus a link or two would help, if you could provide it.
He can't change the thread title. Only moderators can, and I just hollered one to come do so.

nerds be like^(The link is now officially here)
nerds be like^I've been a big Little Big Planet fan since before the first came out, and I'd love to get super excited about this, but I can't help but feel it's just a cash-in while Sony waits for Media Molecules new project to get done. I'm sure I'll still get it, if only to continue working on my unfinished levels, but I'm upset that the PS 4 version is getting gimped so that levels created on that version will be compatible with the PS 3 version. They've already said that there won't be any additional thermometer space on the PS 4 version, and that, despite not looking extraordinary graphics-wise, it will be locked to 30 frames per-second. Beyond that, the additions they've shown so far don't seem as substantial as the jump from 1 to 2.
this place needs me hereBump for official release date (November 18th 2014, PS 4 and PS 3) as well as pre order bonuses (for the US): All here
this place needs me hereOw wow, LBP 1/PSP/2/Vita level size: 3 layers.
LBP 3 level size: 16 LAYERS
I can already see how much this is gonna change level atmosphere...

The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Should be a pip. Though the level I was working on in LBP 2 when I last left off hardly used layers at all. Still, I had a really atmospheric foggy island level that would most certainly benefit from additional 3-dimensionality. I can already imagine building a sandy path from foreground to deep background, with rocky slopes on either side.
Sumo says they've still got a lot to reveal about the game's features. I'm hoping that they added some nifty new creation tools. Maybe they'll have something to talk about at Gamescom.
this place needs me hereI am really looking forward to this, based purely on the strength of the previous games. I can't even begin to imagine what new Create tools they might have. I thought LBP 2 was about as good as it could get, and I wasn't expecting them to make another at all.
Well Media Molecule is absent on this one, they've got a new crazy project they're working on. Little Big Planet 3 is being made by Sumo Digital.
this place needs me hereFor once, I'm going against my cynical nature and say I'm really excited for this. I'll get the PS 3 version though. I wonder if the items unlocked in Little Big Planet vita will carry over?
The only things I'm hoping for are the Detective costume carrying over and a powerup that lets Sackboy Punch.
Also, Stephen Fry. I can't buy it without him

Oh, new developers? I hope they can meet the standard set by MM then.
If you consider the DLC to be good, they've already met your expectations: the developer this time around is Sumo Digital, the guys who made the Cross-Controller DLC for LBP 2. They also did most of the Sega Superstars games and some of the later Out Run games.

Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle. The cross controller DLC was all right, from what I've played. One DLC that I thought was excellent, and more fun/better-designed than the main game's levels was the DC comics pack by Tarsier Studios. They also made the Vita LBP, which was—by all accounts—very good.
Still I've got high hopes for Sumo Digital. A lot of members of the LBP community are working on the game as well. That's one thing I adore about LBP's development.

this place needs me herewhat I want to see on littlebigplanet3 us a costume and /or a decoration maker
edited 1st Aug '14 5:22:43 AM by megaswan
nerds be like^No way is there gonna be a costume maker. Sackpeople are customizable enough already with the prebuilt costume pieces and the ability to put stickers and decorations on them.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Yeah. Plus, their main DLC revenue (probably a large chunk of revenue for the series in general) comes through the sale of licensed costume bits.
Besides that, I don't know how an editor for 3d objects would work in LBP. Sounds like it would be tricky to pull off without potentially messing up the game's performance on PS 3.

this place needs me hereUhuh. well let's get on the topic of the new characters (swoop, toggle and oddsock) which one do you guys like the most? Personally, I like the look of oddsock
nerds be like^I like Swoop. He's a stuffed bird thing and I like stuffed bird things.
Anyway, It feels like this game mainly exists for the sake of having a Little Big Planet on PS 4.

"I'll show you all of Paris, I'll take you on a tour, we'll go up and up and up so high they'll long for an encore!"Lemme just say that it's kinda weird to finally see costumes that don't go on/aren't made for Sackboy. I also like how they're even giving separate costumes between Little Toggle and Big Toggle.
I like all of the new characters, but I can't decide between Toggle and Swoop for my favorite.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!I was ready to shout "blasphemy" at my computer screen when they first unveiled the new characters, but I've since warmed up to them (although I still firmly believe that their functions could be created without much difficulty through Sackbots in LBP 2). They're all cute, though I don't have a favorite yet. I'll have to play as them first. I gotta say that I love Swoop's pipe-cleaner feet.
While each of them having their own costume sets is interesting, it's also a bit of a pain that now when you buy a new costume pack, instead of getting 4-5 costumes for Sackboy, you get one costume for him and each of his friends, even if you never use them.

this place needs me hereOh, looks like little big planet 3 will be on ps3 as well http://www.gamespot.com/articles/littlebigplanet-3-confirmed-for-playstation-3/1100-6420510/
nerds be like^Yeah, they confirmed that shortly after the announcement. Unfortunately, because they want to keep things pretty tight between the two versions, the PS 4 version seems to be getting held back a bit. The graphic enhancements, while nice, aren't anything to write home about, and the framerate is stuck at 30fps. I've been hearing that you might get more thermometer space though.

Little big planet 3 is confirmed to be released at November 30th 2014, I can't post the link to the trailer due to the fact new accounts can't post links, so it's best to look up " little big planet 3 trailer "
