Hinami with four Rinkaku spines? Exactly as I predicted. But why isn't she using her Koukaku. Does she have four Koukaku wings as well?
Unofficial rating for Hinami: between S~ and SS
Judging by the mask, Seid-Owl has a Half-Kakuja. But Ishida is quite vague about it. We don't get a clear view.
Sasaki is going to need a lot of Kaneki's strength, some meat and worst case scenario, the Centipede. I wouldn't mind an intense fight between two insane SS-rated Half-Kakuja Half-Ghouls.
Big Madam sure went down easily.
Who was Suzuya referring to as 'father'? Was it Big Madam? Inb4 tumblr shitstorm again.
What was in your right hand is hope; And in another hand is something else to fade.I dunno if anyone cares about Big Madam being a "father" .-. I mean does that really change anything?
I've been under the assumption that her koukaku served more of a defensive role rather than that of offense. Given that koukaku are known to be slow, perhaps using them in conjunction with her rinkaku would have slowed her down? It seemed like Hinami was trying to go purely on offense in an attempt to defeat Takizawa before he could counter-attack, but unfortunately for her she failed.

I don't really care about it in and of itself, although I am somewhat surprised by it. It's just that, considering the fandom bullshit that happened because of the whole Mutsuki situation, I am a tad...sceptical.

What was in your right hand is hope; And in another hand is something else to fade.I've seen a couple of theories concerning that mess. I mean, it seems incredibly weird and random, so hopefully Ishida will actually elaborate? 6_6;;
The two more interesting ideas I saw were that it's either symbolic (Juuzou/Rei, Mama/Father as a symbolic division of violence and kindess), or Juuzou is actually referring to BOTH his parental figures (he's accepting not only Mama's death, but letting go of Shinohara as well).
As for the fandom side, oh god. I'm getting ready to drink myself into oblivion if more drama flares up.

To be honest, I wouldn't find it too unbelievable if Ishida really means that Big Mama is trans as well. It's certainly surprising, but not too implausible.
I'd be really happy if Hinami manages to get away with Kaneki/Sasaki. I miss the relationship they had.
Still, I'm rather confused by the last few things Sasaki/Kaneki said this chapter. I suppose I'll wait till the next chapter to see exactly what's going to happen.
Come to think of it, if Akira manages to get to where Takizawa/Hinami/Kaneki are at the moment, there's going to be another layer of awkward once she takes out her quinque. Also, will she be willing to fight against Takizawa?

Does anyone know the chapter which discusses when the CCG was formed and the methods they used to hunt ghouls prior to the invention of the quinque? I've been searching through the chapters, but it's resulting in me having to run through the later half of the manga and I don't currently have a lot of time on my hands. Can anyone help a guy out?
I believe it was TG:Re ch. 14, which briefly discusses the Washuu clan.
Thanks, Harostar. I was unsure if it was in :re, so I began looking in the original manga. I guess I'm lucky that I wasn't able to look for very long, because it would have been a fruitless endeavor!
Chapter 31: OH SHI-....
- Sasaki vs Owl-zawa, which seems to end in his victory.
- Arima and Squad 0 arrive, surrounding Hinami. She collapses in terror.
- Sasaki intervenes and asks Arima for her "ownership rights".
- The Auction was one of two Aogiri operations, once again. They also tried to hijack a transport of Quinque Steel, but both operations failed.
- Floppy attacks the fleeing Ghouls, and is revealed to be a Certain Familiar Figure in a monk's robes with a staff. An after-report notes evidence of cannibalism, so Floppy is a serial cannibal like Kaneki was.
- After Report: Commendations for Matsuri, Juuzou, Akira, Sasaki, Suzuya Squad, the Quinx, and Naoto the Mauve Shirt.
AH TIME TO PANIC.

Sounds like an interesting chapter.
EDIT: Scratch that, it sounds like an amazing chapter.

I need a new sig.Oh god no, fucking Arima is here.
What was in your right hand is hope; And in another hand is something else to fade.FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
Goddamn. Arima shows up at the worst possible times. Poor Hinami, she's probably going to Cochlea if she lives.
Also Amon is back. Because we know it's Amon. Also he probably can't eat donuts anymore.

"What I want, is your undying loyalty. Or the dying kind. The Green Goblin is nothing, if not flexible..."I'm sure he could make Kagune donuts from the ghouls he eats. I mean a relative once showed me some pretzel and bacon donuts, so anything is possible.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. So I found a nice text summary:
- Sasaki talks with Kaneki while fighting Takizawa, who keeps apologizing to his parents and saying he had no choice.
- Sasaki admits he's afraid of Kaneki's strength, and the void inside him he thinks he cannot fill. Kaneki asks him to look, and when Sasaki FINALLY DOES......Kaneki is a little white-haired boy. They talk, Sasaki realizes Kaneki was always afraid as well, and decides he will protect Kaneki.
- Sasaki's power grows, and he eats a piece of Takizawa. But he's still unable to win, and they're knocked apart.
- Arima and Squad 0 arrive, surrounding Hinami who collapses in terror.
- S3 Squad has arrived, after successfully defending a shipment of Quinque Steel from Tatara's forces. It includes Marude and Special Classes Koori Ui and Kousuke Houji!! They go to back up Hirako's squad, and the Clowns flee.
- Ayato panics over Hinami still being inside, and has to be physically dragged away by Naki as Aogiri retreats.
- While their forces escape, some groups are attacked and wiped out by a Certain Robed Figure (cough*Amon*cough) identified by a dying Ghoul as "Floppy". He speaks to "Yasuhisa" — so it seems Amon and Kuro are together. An after-report notes the bodies were partially cannibalized.
- Croque Monsieur is with Matsumae and Kanae. He tells them they'll have to find ingriedents somewhere else, and is revealed to be Tsukiyama's father.
- Akira tries to go to Sasaki, but spots Takizawa. He smiles and greets her, before running away. She's left speechless and horrified.
- Arima moves in on Hinami, but Sasaki intervenes and claims he defeated her. He asks for the Ownership Rights, which Arima grants while calling him "Haise Sasaki" in quotes. He knows something is up.
- Sasaki looks at Lil Shiro Kaneki, who signals him to be quiet. He frets over having lied.
- An After-report notes promotions for Juuzou, Akira, Matsuri, Sasaki, Suzuya Squad, and the Quinx. Naoto the Mauve Shirt survives and gets one as well.
- Takeomi is now being compared to Amon for his feat of strength.
So in conclusion:
- Haise and Kaneki are now accepting/helping each other.
- Arima is suspicious.
- Hinami has been captured.
- Ayato is freaked out.
- Amon is Floppy and likely has Kuro with him.
- Akira sees Takizawa, who escapes.
- Papa Tsukiyama is on the case!

Houji and Ui show up to back up Hirako and his team. Houji and Ui are now both Special Classes. Seems like the Clowns retreat.
We all called that Monsieur Croquet was Tsukiyama's father.

What was in your right hand is hope; And in another hand is something else to fade.So do people think things are sufficiently hinted to list Floppy's identity in the character page? Or leave it vague until someone actually goes it's Koutarou Amon!! ?
We've got this image◊, Donato Porpora's connection, the connection to Kaneki, and the Ch. 124 cover.
That enough or is it still a WMG kinda deal?

Now that I think about it, Amon cannibalising other ghouls is a perfect way for him to survive while still keeping up his hate-the-ghouls thing. I mean, apart from the fact that ghouls supposedly taste terrible, but you can't have everything.
Amon and Kuro working together is really cool, though one wonders how that might have come about.

Well, the twins were once with the CCG and I believe Amon had recognized them during the lab raid. Perhaps in the events which transpired following said raid and the capture and possible transformation of Amon, she was convinced to join him in his cause? I mean, maybe she simply saw through Kanou's deception or assuming her sister died, she thought about just what exactly they were doing? Either way, I'm glad to see that we're seeing more of where these characters have gone since the timeskip.
Now I just hope we'll learn more about Hinami and get a more detailed explanation of why she joined Aogiri (besides the "I want to get stronger" direction) and maybe even learn about what exactly she did during those years. I'll be the first to admit that I didn't like seeing that she had joined them and how her character became rather jaded, though at the same time I don't blame her for feeling that way. Maybe I just didn't expect her to be the one to do so or something.
Something I noticed upon rereading TG:
Takizawa's motivation to become a Dove was because their neighbor Satou was killed by a Ghoul and his mother got scared.
Turns out, Satou may or may not be (but knowing Ishida, it probably is) the same person who sold out the Kirishima siblings to the CCG after Arata's disappearance. Not sure if it was ever stated whether the Kirishima siblings were the ones who killed her.
Small world. We almost reaching Six Degreesof Separation here, as this links Arata, Touka, Ayato, Mado, Shinohara and Takizawa, and perhaps even Akira can be included in this link.

What was in your right hand is hope; And in another hand is something else to fade.Yep.
And for bonus connections, Takizawa's little sister attends the same college as Tsukiyama. So it's very likely that both Takizawa siblings went to school with Tsukiyama and Chie.
It's out.

I need a new sig.Yeah it looks like Haise bit off a ear along with some of that side of Seidou's face, and that neither of them won.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. So, I guess that based on the beginning of Chapter 31, Takizawa ate his mother and father? That would be pretty brutal if so. I wonder if his sister is also a victim?
That it is. Good chapter. Some errors here and there but still good.
