Why is There No Folder for Specials?

I'm not sure which topic this goes in, but I think it would be here.

Anyway, I'm just curious as to why we don't have pages within the Wiki for one-shot TV specials. From my experience in contributing to the Wiki, it causes some confusion, because it's hard to determine wher to place work pages under, and I've noticed animated specials tend to be redirected to Western Animation (which does make sense), while live action specials are redirected to Series (which... doesn't make sense).

Is it possible that perhaps work pages for specials could be listed under like ''Special/TitleOfSpecial'', or would that end up causing unnecessary clogging within the Wiki?

First, methinks you used the wrong word in the title - what you are talking about is really "Namespace"; the "folder" for TV specials is "Live-Action TV".

Now, regarding "namespace", I don't remember ever encountering any such pages.

The Made-for-TV Movie goes in Film/. Not sure about shorter works that aren't part of a miniseries, but I would be inclined to put them in either Film/ or Series/ even if the latter seems incongruous.

Most folders are associated with namespaces of the same name; where there's a discontinuity it is generally either because multiple media are being grouped into a single folder (Anime & Manga) or because there are two equally valid names for the same medium, either one of which could be used for the title of the folder (Newspaper Comics and Comic Strip/). Live-Action TV is the exception; its works are placed under Series/ for historical reasons.

Note: animated films (regardless if they're a Made-for-TV Movie or Theatrical Release) go in the Film folder as well, and it can be split between "Films - Live Action" and "Films - Animated".

The Name Space they belong to depends on which culture is the primary source of the production.

@Septimus Heap Yes, thank you, I had forgotten that... embarrassingly, I'm still a bit of a n00b in certain aspects of the Wiki... after being here for almost three years, I just recently figured out how to index work pages. Seriously.
