The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai)

Just saw it.

Seems pretty pointless all in all.

So how would you guys rate this with options of terrible, poor, average, good, or great?

I've been thinking about checking it out seeing as it's relatively short and I could get caught up easily.

Good. For a shounen fighter series, probably great, but that doesn't mean much.

Well I started reading it. I'm liking it a lot more than I thought I would based on what little I knew of the setting.

Its better than 98% of the shounen action series out atm but worse than Assassination Classroom. Though the latter has an odd update schedule whereas Nanatsu no Taizai comes out on weekly basis on the same day fairly regularly.

I'd say that's a matter of taste. Assassination Classroom is pretty good, but it's got it's own share of fundamental flaws in it. Plus I think the two are pretty dissimilar in their approaches.

Having read about a third of it so far I can see why people would call the main characters overpowered. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing.

As clarification I like Assassination Classroom only SLIGHTLY more than Nanatsu no Taizai, only slightly. They're both excellent series and I recommend both highly.

So I'm caught up to the entire series. It's pretty good, I actually find myself enjoying the fights here which is rare.

Question, Gowther has Anti-Hero on his page, which I guess makes sense, but one of the reasons was because "He even seduced Geera more than necessary", I removed that and another sentence because I don't get it.

How exactly does being in a relationship make one an anti-hero? People are speculating he cast some evil spell or something but speculation doesn't belong on pages right?

I'm not sure that was even intentional if so.

The wiki for this series has some of the Sins power levels. Anyone know were they might have gotten those numbers?

Edit: Apparently they got it from chapter 107 which still hasn't been released yet.

I'm not entirely surprised that Merlin is the strongest of the Sins in actuality. I feel like she's being set up as a villain after all.

Yeah Hawk went from cute to annoying there. I'm surprised that the king is apparently stronger than your average holy knight.

Maybe, him saying he's already been "loaded" with one doesn't have to mean that.

I think author might actually be planning to subvert whole power level thing <_< I mean, maybe even if you can't lift even a chair, if you are really charismatic you might have 10000 power level or something

might be the case with Harlequin.

Pretty much said that in this chapter, about how they're rough estimations at best and can't take circumastances into consideration.

He's probably big on magic power and spirit and like Hawk in the physical department.

Don't make us forget your Heroic Sacrifice by being little shit Hawk.
