It may have passed on to him after the originals death. We will likely get some more info on the original soon.
Or Fraudrin just didn't know much about it and was fed lies.
Secret SignatureThat sounds weird, since he was apparently given the same one.
Oh, Arthur's cat is the cath palug? I had no idea it had a name. I bet it was revealed the moment the thing showed up and I just forgot, though.
It was revealed as soon as it talked; the first chapter after Meliodas' "death".

Well, at least I guessed that I had just forgotten thanks to my supreme indifference.
Anyway, as far as Gowther's story goes, it was okay but I'm kind of sick of the pattern of 'the sin actually did nothing wrong but says nothing to clear their name.' Especially when it comes to Gowther.

Mm.
Anyway, I still haven't totally given up on the idea that Merlin is a goddess, fallen or otherwise. Considering the way Fraudrin and Grayroad reacted to hearing her real name, and that the leader of the Goddess Clan is a women, I'm thinking it's plausible she might be that person. It might also go with her mentioning having a natural resistance to the Ten Commandments curses.
Not especially likely but something I'll be keeping in mind.

With Gowther this does serve to explain why he's a dick. No longer has a heart and all that junk.
Doesn't change how creepy and douchey he has acted before now.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Nope.
Just explains it.
Now toss him off a cliff. And throw a rock down that cliff.
One Strip! One Strip!I figure Elizabeth is the daughter of the goddess' leader, not Merlin. If she was the leader herself, the archangels or whatever would have followed her commands more readily. She doesn't seem to be one of them, either, but is still at a high enough status where they seem to defer to her a little. So princess seems reasonable.
Anyway, seems like it's not just English readers wondering why the three of them were male despite the group being called the goddess clan.

For Ban, King, and Meliodas they actually did blame themselves for what happened. Diane seemed too broken to speak up and Gowther was moving towards just not caring about anything, so why should he bother.
The real question here is why Bartra didn't speak up.
And we still need to see one more Archangel even though Ludoshel is supposed to be the strongest one.

Bartra did speak up. It's why Denzel didn't burn him to death, isn't it?
I get the feeling Denzel is someone else, but that's the name that comes to mind.
Denzel is their brother who let Nerobasta possess him only to accomplish absolutely nothing. And I feel like those two things were separate; Gowther was sentenced to burn to death (which I doubt would work on him anyway) and Denzel wanted to cut his head off or something.
I'm actually surprised that the Sin backstory chapters are still a thing. Makes me wonder if we'll get one for the other three.

Best backstory so far. The storytelling was top notch.
Gowther > Ban > King >>>> Diane.
Why wouldn't it be a thing? There just hasn't been any proper opportunities to reveal their stories yet.
Fuck man. Just fuck. That hit harder than I thought it would. Even from the first few pages I knew what was gonna happen it still got me. Just the slow build up to the reveal of why he's called the Goat's Sin of lust. Fuck.
Liones has a terrible judicial system, doesn't it? They have been wrong about every single major crime so far.
Because we already know basically everything about Meliodas, and story behind Escanor seems to really just be "They went out and found him, the end." It doesn't even look like he was charged with anything, at least not now. Merlin seems to be the same, she came to them and they had no idea who she was.
And to be fair to Diane, her sidestory isn't over yet. It was a "to be continued" one.
It seems to me that the fact that we have no idea what Merlin's deal is is a good reason why the her side story should happen eventually, not a reason why it shouldn't. Similar story for Escanor, really. And there are still plenty of gaps in our knowledge of Mel's backstory.
Yeah, there's a lot of stuff we don't know about them, but as for things specifically relating to why each is the Sin of.. there doesn't seem much to go on now. Like I said, it doesn't seem like those three were actually charged with anything.
Edit: I mean, I guess we could go in full about how the events of Danafor came to be but at this point it seems like that's been milked pretty dry. Meliodas has come to terms with it, Fraudrin's dead now, the Coffin of Eternal Darkness hasn't even been mentioned in forever...

Why do I have a feeling Gowther's words about making his doll happy will fail...
Mileena MadnessChapter.
This was a terrible way to give exposition but whatever, the exposition itself is decent.
That quite the understanding magic flashback.
Secret Signature...
So I'm guessing Gloxina joined with the demons to save Gerharde back then.
Also, I can't help but think there's more to the humans actions than just being selfish dicks. I suppose we'll have to wait and see though.

One Strip! One Strip!Good to the humans are doing this of their own volition instead of forcing some deceit on them.
I'm all for keeping Gowther on the right path as long as it means they can beat the shit outta him for being a little shit.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.
He went further with that bedroom scene than I would think he'd be allowed to. Yeah, it was still obscure and tasteful, but it was still obvious what was going on.
It occurs to me that either Demon Gowther was locked up specifically to keep the Commandment given to him from going off on himself, in which case, dick move giving it to him in the first place Demon King. Or, that the Commandment was a part of some punishment along with him being in prison in the first place, but the Demon King decided he was just too valuable to not make use of.
How the Commandment works with Sin Gowther is also still fuzzy.
