Seems like a good start.
A bit dark, plus, Shangri-La is Tibetan so it would need mountains to tell it apart from China.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe fog implies mountains. I like the OP.
^^^ You know better than to pick an image based on trope name instead of description :) The Shangri-La need not be in Tibet specifically, mountains are nice but not vital, the clouds imply high altitude. Probably better if the location is not identifiable.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.^^^That looks more like one of China's gorges to me. As for ^^, fog suggests more of the seaside.
^Huh. The trope is about locations in mountains. It's not in the name, in several places of the description.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI obviously (?) meant the specific country location, and not whether there are mountains, in particular. Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Yes. The trope requires mountains, basically. Also "Shangri La is almost universally based on Tibet,".
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWow. You said, exactly, that the "real" Shangri-La is in Tibet and that looks like it could be China, which doesn't matter. Perhaps that isn't what you meant but the meaning of a signal is determined by the receiver.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Yeah, upon re-reading the "Tibet" aspect is not essential. My bad for misconsidering it.
That said, we have Land of Dragons (for China) so a image that differentiates is a good thing.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanClock is set.
Should be able to find something for The Shangri-La. Here's one from a DeviantART user:
