Heres a topic to discuss and share opinions or recommendations for 3DS games that are not just good, but live up to the "3D" part of the systems name. And if you care, add in games that are good, but lackluster or disappointing with the 3D.

Cartridge or e-shop exclusiveness doesn't matter. What 3DS games would you recommend or show others for the gameplay and 3D? Which ones do you think are fun games, but shouldn't boast "3D" in their resume?

I shall start with The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time 3D.

The first Zelda game that I got absorbed into.

Take your moment to call me a video game heathen.

Done now? Good. Moving on. (Besides, I didn't grow up on Nintendo.)

I had tried the GBA remake of A Link to the Past on someone elses GBA, but Fire Emblem was catching more of my attention, so I kinda left Link in the dark. Whoops.

Then I was gifted a 3DS and Ocarina of Time 3D. I would not put it down until my battery ran out. And then I would just plug it in and play until collapsing from starvation, sleep deprivation and Water Temple hatred.

Though to many people, the greatness of OOT is obvious, this was my first real experience with the Zelda series. Controls worked great, the world was fun to explore, graphics were great for the system, very smooth framerate, tight gameplay and lastly the "Holy fuckballs, this 3D looks awesome!" reaction.

Definetely a great first game for any 3DS owner.

As my pick for a good game with bad 3D: Pokémon X and Y.

Everything else is pretty solid in gameplay and graphics and online play, but once you turn that 3D slider upwards... Things kinda start being very slow. And for what? A barely noticable depth effect. And at times seeing things in double, but only in dark areas. Gamefreak clearly slapped the 3D on hastily just to fulfill the minimum requirement to be a retail game instead of an e-shop exclsuive, plenty of which I assume would even have better 3D.

I suppose 3D being limited to only certain indoor areas and single battles is a good thing considering that a battle with two fully evolved pokémon takes nearly twice as long with the 3D on. And that's putting it nicely.

Pokémon X and Y: good, fun games, but bad 3D.

Yeah, this is a call for complaints. Drop "and worst" and it should work out.
