My Laptop actually runs it pretty well. I only have issues in areas with lots of traffic (other players) and staying connected. The connection issue might just be my internet sucking, but if it is my laptop, it could just have a crappy antenna.

So, after reading up on the character bios, the catgirl is actually an Oni, and yes, she is the typical slut drinker type, so yeah the game is a trope of the anime trope.

I wouldn't call Ibaraki Douji a slut. An alcoholic that will kill herself with alcohol poisoning? Sure. A slut? Not really, besides her choice of atire. She has yet to do anything deemable as slutty yet besides one joke.

Having played the game a bit (in Kyoto right now), my $.02.

The game is a massive cliché storm as many have noted. They have managed to throw in as many anime tropes as they could find and at the same time, subvert, lampoon and even deconstruct more than a few. Despite the videos, the content is rather tame, though the videos themselves have the characters pegged.

Mechanics wise, the game is better designed for a controller, though the keyboard and mouse controls are not that problematic. Early in the game, you are VERY squishy, deliberately, as the game is reminding you to know how to use the block and dodge mechanics. As for stats, you control the stats you improve, but keep in mind the character type and the weapons you will be using, as each stat improves your abilities with different weapons. I went cautious, so wand, bow and twin blades are my mainstays (all my stats are dedicated to WIS and DEX, with a little Vitality for improved health).

While there is a strong hint of pay to win in the game, it is not only unnecessary, but some of the most useful items for buffing your character are found, made, or even come as rewards. Even with that, you can actually earn the bought currency through weapon and item selling, some quest items can sell for quite a bit as they don't drop more commonly until later in the game and enhanced and smelted weapons can sell for a premium with the right skills on them. Most of the pay to win stuff may increase your survivability, somewhat, but many of them become next to useless later in the game as the bonuses provided don't scale. It's mostly early survival, which you will get equivalent stuff over the course of the game.

That might explain why I had such a hard time getting started, and it makes sense considering the game is also available on the PS 3 in Japan. I really need to get another wired controller for my PC so I can play some of my games more efficiently.note

Well, at least that's one thing this game does differently than other P-2-W titles. And yes, this game works far better on a PS 3, if you live in Japan, or if you have said wireless controller.

Yeah, I didn't even try using the keyboard and mouse. I was raised on console gaming, so to go from that and just start using a laptop randomly is very difficult, especially since I have no real mouse, just a touch pad like most laptops. I was very glad this game was controller compatible. I myself went for a character that does well in close-combat, but also uses a bow pretty well. But that's mostly because I'm still in a F/SN phase and was trying to emulate GA Rcher. I even named my character CG EMIYA (CG short for Counter Guardian)!

Ok, finally got to watching the anime trailers, and GODDAMN did I feel uncomfortable watching it. Cute and obviously playing tropes, and the girls sexy as Hell, but man did it look stupid. I also couldn't find the "engrish" versions on Youtube. Apparently I wasn't specific enough for it to show or some crap.

Would anybody be interested in making a page for this MMO? I would, but i'm still in the dark about half the things involved.

I would but I'm still new to this site and not very far in the game.

I am, but not often since my depression makes things seem boring. So I can't play too much or I will get bored despite how much fun I have playing it. Maybe I should get back on my medication...

My friends have been telling me to play this game, but it looks pretty meh to me. The fan service is not helping it either.

The actual game itself has very little fanservice. The only fanservice so far is Ibaraki Douji's outfit which I can easily ignore since I have been exposed to much worse.

Is there much in the of customization?

jfunk1994 Since: Jul, 2013

Not really. While you can customize your character when you create it, it's very limited. If you want to customize beyond that, you have to pay for it. And last I checked, it was only for clothing.

So really you just have to grind with what you get in the beginning. Unless of course you have money to spend on dresses and upgrades. I still just like it for it's anime looks, even though I still have never played this game yet.

Is it safe to say no one really cares about this one? I don't think any improvement has been made since the beta, but then again, i have yet to play it.
