I love this chapter though. This is a good way to reconcile them and put Marie at ease.

Buuuuut the ellipsis at the end makes me think everything's going to hell in the next chapter. Maybe I'm being wrong genre savvy at this point, but ellipses at the end of a chapter are usually never good.

Well, Marie has to be mourning* something... so if it ain't Callie, it's probably Cuttlefish.

* Ok I know it's not actually supposed to be a mourning outfit but it is indeed black...

Also yeah, this chapter had a real "calm before the storm" feeling to it. Not sure if Cuttlefish is dead but he might've gotten kidnapped by someone. Someone more dangerous than Octavio.

I doubt black has a mourning connotation here. In Japan white is the color for mourning.

If there's indeed a bigger threat, Octavio will pull an Enemy Mine

I want a giant mecha fight as a final boss.

Played ranked for the first time in a while on my alt and man the meta is weird. Now all them squid-kids are mixing damage up, quick respawn, and stealth jump. Back in my day, the meta was damage up, strength up, and salt up. You would wear that captains hat, squid girl shirt, and cyan trainers with pride damnit!

I did real lousy last time I went to Ranked, falling to S+ 6. I need to get my aiming skills back on track in Turf War before I tackle that mode again.

I hadn't noticed any enormous changes in the meta last time I played ranked (a week or so ago), but then again, I was climbing my way back up from A to A+, so I have no idea what S is up to. I'm sorta tempted to try to make my way back up to S before 2 comes out, but I don't know if it's worth it.

This was in S+. So the group most obsessive in trying to min-max their stats. I have a feeling in S and below, this kind of meta isn't as profound.

Since I'm not feeling up to streaming Breath of the Wild tonight, I wanted to ask you guys if any of you would be interested in watching me streaming Splatoon ranked tonight?

Despite not having play ranked Splatoon for over a year.

I'd watch it. Hell, if I suicide my alt account (because in S+, failure is the only option), we may be able to play together.
