Have fun with that. I've been playing fairly regularly since the game came out and I'm still at 49.

It does take quite a while to get there. Good thing the unlocks you get after level 20 are just cosmetic, 'cause I hate it when multiplater games keep completely new items and abilities locked until you reach the highests levels.

If I recall correctly Orion was the first one to reach level 50 around here.

I was the first? I would have thought some others on this thread would have reached level 50 before me. Keep in mind, for a good while, I hardly touched ranked during my rise through the 30's. This was due to me gaining S rank for the first time and wanting to preserve that success.

It's fascinating how compelling the worldbuiliding is in this game, given how it's almost all a joke.

It makes me kinda happy that the Squid Sisters have been taken so well by the fanbase, too- It's like they're real celebrities or something.

I sure said that!

I realized yesterday that I've never given any Blaster a serious shot since I started playing this game, so I decided to correct that by testing out the Rapid Blaster Pro Deco.

I did... surprisingly well actually! Its range and fire rate are quite good, the Disruptor is hecka useful to help cover its lack of one hit splats, and the dirt cheap Killer Wail is an excelent Special for a weapon that's not made for coverage; and on top of that all those things combined, plus the ability to damage opponents hidden across corners and under cover, make it a great tool for harrasing snipers. I really should've tried out this weapon sooner.

Blasters require a very different approach from just about any other weapon, since they're simultaneously close-range and sweetspot-oriented. It takes skill to use 'em well, at least in ranked.

They do grant you a great deal of control over turf in your immediate area, though- They're probably some of the best shooters in terms of ink consumed versus ground covered, with one or two shots getting you a fair-sized circle around you in your team's color.

I tried to give the blasters a fair shot and I find them too tough to use (well, sans the Luna Blaster Neo, but that's a pretty low entry weapon). They play like the Demoman's grenade launcher; pretty useless if you miss a lot but a godsend when you can make direct hits.

I tend mostly to use the Luna Blasters when I use them. Either that or the regular blasters.

It's a shame the Rapid Blasters are terrible, they look cool.

Rapid Blasters are damn scary in the hands of good players, much like the Bamboozler. They can harass and keep the pressure going in areas that would otherwise be safe for enemies.

And regular Blasters just don't gel with me. Too slow.

And again, good turf coverage for the ink cost. Rapid blasters are the thirstiest of the Blasters but they're still plenty manageable, especially compared to weapons that simply cannot make sustained fire a possibility like the Splattershot Pro.

If I recall, I used the rapid blaster deco for a while way back when I was a B ranked player. I got ok with it, but keeping my distance was the hard part for me. I soon realized that I couldn't CQC to save my life, so I moved on.

Luna Blaster's kick ass as the game's shotgun equivalent.

Pretty bizarre that a shooter's closest equivalent to shotguns are, besides the Luna Blaster, freaking buckets [lol]

Rapid Blaster Pro fixes the problem with Rapid Blasters, that being their range, at a small cost to fire rate.

Imagine though if a RBP had the range of a Range Blaster or better.

Good job Ogodei.

Don't worry about your K/D ratios. While having a high ratio is nice, since you that means you are giving the enemy team hell, having a low ratio matters little. I've had a good number of matches where I'm dying constantly but I end pulling the winning move for my team (either by regaining the lead or winning a knockout).
