It's weird that we still don't have playable Octolings, considering their presence in the code.

I sure said that!

Let's think back to when the game first started.

I remember when people complained that it took forever to get to Level 10 before they could play Ranked.

Suddenly that doesn't matter anymore. [lol]

Sleepy Logan letting the team carry him.
This was the result of some discussion on what inkling illnesses might be like.

One of the ideas was that sick inklings have trouble not dripping ink everywhere. It would probably be gross.

This game is the first time I've experienced an evolving meta in full force. Still remember having to clean up after folks saying that the Rollers are the biggest Game-Breaker this side of Brawl Meta Knight after the demo [lol]

Also, I'd be down for goofing off during the aniversary at Saturday!

I remember when everyone kept complaining the motion controls sucked, but now are the (more-or-less) agreed to be best way of playing the game.

They took a lot of people some getting used to, but yeah, they're pretty amazing since they allow for actual mouse-and-keyboard level accuracy with a controller.

I've found that motion controls in general are just fine if the main purpose is pointing something.

Those hiding spots don't seem very practical in actual matches, except maybe for camping out the clock in Rainmaker.

Also, new rule for Hide & Seek: NO USING METHODS LIKE THAT.

Been playing TF2 lately, and I decided to set Blaster sounds as hitsounds (the explosion itself) and killsounds (a direct hit). It sounds amazing, especially when setting an entire enemy group ablaze as a Pyro! evil grin

If I ever go back to TF 2, I want to set the rocket launch sound to an inkling super jump.

Well, with my Blaster sound files it becomes more like <PofpofpofpofpofDING!pofpofpofpofDING!>

And by rocket launch you mean Special Delivery's rocket or Soldier's rockets? 'Cause if it's the latter I think it would quickly becomes a mess. tongue

I'm sure those dings would sound better if it were replaced by ink splats... except for the mini turret.

[up] I think they mean Soldier's grunt when their own rocket hits them? If that's even possible to mod without affecting the regular pain sound.

Special delivery? I'm guessing that's something new within the last year.

I meant the Soldier's rocket launch sound.

Special Delivery is basically like Rainmaker except you hold the briefcase and stand on the "goal" to move it to a rocket (like about payload train slow), then the rocket launches.

Oh well, rocket launch with super jump sounds... wait, which sound clip, the whoosh of the super jump motion, or the "whee!" of the inkling? Both sound incredibly amusing regardless. I can imagine it already.

Hopefuly there are multiple sound files for Soldier's rockets, because I can imagine that hearing the same "Woo-hee!" every time every single rocket is launched would become grating after a while tongue

Oh right. That game mode. Has TF 2 done anything with that mode after release or was it forgotten like the Hydro map?

I was thinking of the launching sound the inklings make when super jumping. Though, having a "whee!" in the sound bite would be funny.[lol]

They used the map for a Halloween event; and besides, the big difference is that Special Delivery servers are not a total ghost town like Hydro's. Man, that mode was not planned well.

I guess that repetitiveness would be worthy just to hear Soldiers go Weeeee! every time they rocket jump. [lol]

Speaking of TF 2, looking at the Righteous Bison, it kind of looks like a Splash-o-matic. If I knew how, I would be tempted to edit the RB's textures to reflect the Spamatic's design.

Hell, I should also changes the Soldier's rocket launcher to that of an inkzooka. Oh, and I got to change the Heavy's Huo-Long Heater to that of the rainmaker.

[up][up]I still want a cross promotion between the games, as impossible as it may be. I want merc gear for the squiddos, Splasha for Heavy, and Chargers for the Sniper dang it!

...Oh! And a Splatfest as well. Bring back Soldier vs Demoman or Spy vs Sniper!

My wishes for this game are rather reasonable, as you can see.
