Assuming he's in MKX, I wouldn't mind if they took that design and made a couple of palette swap characters out of it. :P

Well since Mavado and He who shall never be mentioned again aren't coming back for X, it make sense to use the Reboot to reboot the Red Dragon as an organization.

Kind of a shame if you ask me. I think Mavado's crazy grappling hook shit would work better in a 2D game.

considering the DLC characters from MK 9 had no role in the actual story (except Freddy for obvious reasons.)I guess it's safe to say they may all take part in the story this time.

I dunno... Rain and Skarlet seem too... Clone-ish? They don't feel distinct enough to have that much of a story impact without extensive reworking, (That would likely make them almost nothing like their MK 9 selves) and I get the impression that MKX is moving much more towards more distinct characters.

I don't see how Rain or Skarlet are clone-ish outside of their origins and both had story material (especially Rain) to be utilized in MKX if Netherealm decides to do to.,

I'd really like to see Rain do something vaguely important, personally, even if he continues to be an irrational asshat.

Main game page lists Bi Han as the Sub-Zero in this game (which is also what I think is likely, but still), but I can't find a source on that. Anybody got anything?

Its based on the evidence presented by the in game dialogues

Scorpion refers to him as Murderer and X Zero attests his innocence

Quan Chi claims to have X Zero's brother's soul

and Raiden claims he is the protector of earth realm not X Zero

1. Points toward Bi-Han 2. Can be either Bi-Han or Liang but last time we saw Liang even when necro'd he was cyber mode 3. Remember what happened to Scorpion when he got thrown into a Soulnado? He ended up being the champion/chosen enforcer of the elder gods.

Now yes there has been no real confirmation... but the hints seem to be leaning toward a Revived Bi-han

Quan chi's is disappointingly boring but Scorpion's is siiiiiiiiick. Great use of detail there.

Pretty dry streak as far as MK news, but from this article, it's confirmed that characters who died in MK 9 can still end up being playable and there are currently no console-exclusive characters planned for the game.

Kung Lao was killed by Shao Kahn, while the original was supposedly killed by Goro IIRC. However, current!Kung Lao is supposed to be his ancestor's literal reincarnation in his MK 9 ending IIRC... so...

...I honestly have no idea what they're playing at here. Original Kung Lao is supposed to be a bald Shaolin Monk, and would obviously be older. It'd be kind of neat to have a "replacement" Kung Lao the same way we do Sub-Zero.

I'm personally hoping he's the Great Kung Lao come back to life (shang had his soul, so its possible his soul found a new body), or a new reincarnation, if they want to make that canon (though Quan Chi having his soul makes reincarnation doubtful)

Its hard to say, really. I know I'm going to be getting the comics when they come out so I'll be a little less out of the loop when the game comes out.

That Kung Lao hat looks completely ridiculous, if only because of the saw teeth.
