On that note, I ran Joel and Ellie through the rubric. They could make a good tag-team character with the right moveset.
Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashYeah. I'm not dropping any kind of stats. Screw that noise.
That... that just isn't going to happen. Those two, while violent... they can't be ripped apart so gruesomely.
Johnny Gat cerainly has the violence down, he can dish it out, but he can't take it.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Sure he can take it. He died and then his return in IV featured a level where he runs around naked and covered in alien goo.
Saints Row isn't precious about its characters.
I'd add to the rubric... attitude, or something. A lot of the characters suggested just don't have the personality that would help them fit in the Mortal Kombat world. Johnny Gat would work because he's basically an unapologetic sociopath. Those Last of Us characters are just trying to get by and survive. I only see one of those three ripping someone's spine out.

That's part of "able to commit wanton violence"; key word being "wanton". The implied clause being "without having a nervous breakdown".
So more MKX news is supposed to revealed at Gamescom, but it looks like that Kano's inclusion has already been revealed.
So Kano's back huh? I thought Kabal killed him in MK 9. Ah well, nice to see him again.
Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashNope, none of the henchmen in MK 9 died. Well, maybe Saibot did, but he was dead to begin with. And Motaro died, but centaurs are hard to do in a game like this, if you recall. But Baraka, Mileena, the Shokans, Kano, Reptile, the Lin Kuei cyborgs? All free to torment our remaining heroes whenever they want to.

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatSo funny story. As we speak, the original Mortal Kombat movie is playing.
It's....kinda dated, but I still remember it fondly for being the best video game movie at the time (and this is considering that all other video game movies sucks royal ass).
And the funny thing is, it changed the story a lot (then again, I don't think the original game had all that much of a story) with many of the ideas the movies introduced finding their way into the series.
Plus, they clearly had more respect for Johnny Cage back then, since while he is a bit of a Butt-Monkey, he's a Butt-Monkey who defeats fucking Scorpion and Goro.
And that's Rob's random game related movie news.
One Strip! One Strip! The thing I just thought of and find interesting about the movie is that Goro is not the heroes' final obstacle before facing Shang Tsung, Reptile is. If you watch the movie, it's clear that he wasn't intended to be an opponent, just Tsung's spy, befitting his hidden nature in the first game, that's why he spends most of the movie in a radically different form, and why his sudden transformation into a humanoid and back again after his fight with Liu Kang makes no sense. If you pay attention, Johnny also vanishes during that scene; from what I can tell, that scene was put in after production wrapped.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatLiu Kang pulled off the Reptile code and didn't even know it.
I can't hear you.
One thing I dislike is the (relatively few) detractors of the first movie who hated how Sub-Zero went out. True it wasn't a long fight scene like Scorpion got but who will ever forget his badass "oh no you didn't" face turn and then his posing and preparing his hige-ass Freeze-All Move. That thing was pretty broken.
The new info about Kotal makes me wonder what will happen to Mileena.
... finally get that dental work and learned to appreciate the taste of green men?
Green men?
I wanna say Reptile, but that doesn't make a lick of sense in my head.
Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either....Kotal's the Green man...

New Kano trailer. I'm really liking his Commando variation.
Holy crap this game looks so good! Kano's X-Ray looks brutal.
The only thing I'm not feeling yet is the fatalities. So far, they haven't felt as visceral as MK9's were, to me.
I kind of hope we get trailers like this for the characters we already know about, too.
Yeah, I've yet to see Cassie Cage's Hollywood variant.
Kano looks awesome.
But I've been thinking of something else lately. I know Cassie pretty much takes the roles of both of her parents, but I'd really like to see Johnny Cage here, but only on this one condition: He aged like Elvis, going from fit and attractive to fat and balding. I think it would be hilarious.
You guys like Let's Plays? You guys like shameless plugs? Well, come on down!Kano looking beast. Commando and Cybernetic especially.
Game still looks janky animation wise sort of
He's a major supporting character in the Saints Row games. He was dead in The Third, but came back in IV.
