So , this Image Pickin' Thread i put up, JAFAAC: Duck Season Rabbit Season, got moved to ye olde morgue. Randomly, out of the blue. I'm seriously contemplating the possibility that it actually was done randomly.

Here's the thing: As soon as i got the chance to read up on it, it was already locked. There was only one post there, consisting of only 6 words, which i presume to be from a moderator, and the reason why the thread was locked. I would accept the fact that one of my threads gets locked if there's a reason for it. Well, quelle surprise, it simply says "Image is fine. Exhibits the trope."

So, yeah. First of all, he's/they're giving me no time to actually rebut that. That is a dick move in and of itself.

Second, he's providing no real argument at all, simply stating "exhibits the trope". Which is not only merely "you're wrong, it's the exact opposite, and i'm not gonna explain or prove that", but is also the most rebuttable thing i've ever seen in my entire life (and that's not an exaggeration); just compare the trope itself with the image, and point out the fact that the image follows all of the exemplars provided on the Administrativia page.

Also, if Fast Eddie is a moderator and locked the thread himself, that is a rather stubborn, supercilious thing to do. I mean, it's basically like the aforementioned "you're wrong" argument if the person who used it walked away shortly afterward. It's something Rationalwiki calls an "escape hatch", except with the unanswerable-ness coming from the fact that it's impossible for me to provide a counterargument at all.

Quick recap: Trope: Getting someone to switch sides in an argument. Image: People leaning on signs.

As it says on Know The Staff, Fast Eddie is the mod who owns the site. I don't know how you can call the image just a face when it's illustrating the Trope Namer.

That image was fine. Seriously. Let's have IP threads for things that are actually a problem.
