Today's episodes on XD:Surprise!, and Welcome to the neighborhood

• I LOVE how Surprise! did the old "It-your-B-day-silly" plot for Starchbottom, and even made The Glooms have a happy ending as well, somewhat.

• I honestly thought WTTN was going to be the origin story of the 7Ds, but still an cool ep feat. The "Grins". And also introducing us to "The Rock of Sages", which I guess will become this series "Gravity Falls journal" due to how powerful and secret it is.

Overall, this was a good episode. Who here thinks a GF and 7D Crossover special sounds like a great idea?

A Gravity Falls and 7D crossover? Hmmm. If it was in comic book form (you know, like Cartoon Network Super Secret Crisis War if anyone's reading that), it could work. But in animated form? I'm not sure.

Dwarfs appeared in Gravity Falls before.

Alex said there would be a finale movie for the series(I guess), so why not make it a cross over with a famous supernatural creature gang? I could also see Soos trying to get with Hildy, and not notice she's married. And little Gideon betraying the Glooms would be Shakespearian!

Don't you mean gnomes? I remember seeing gnomes in GF, but not dwarfs.

Or maybe that's because I haven't seen every episode of GF…

Loving the ongoing episodes so far. I can see how they're building Hildy. Seems like her character trait is jealousy. It builds some nice and depressing pathos seeing how she wants friends but her attitude causes her to be anti-social.

Is... There a The Office thing going on with the character-to-audience explanation going on from episode to episode? The first two episodes didn't have it yet the other episodes have it to my confusion.

Yeah, there seems to be a 'character's corner' type of deal going. I honestly find it refreshing to have such a thing in a non-reality related ordeal.

Yeah I kind of like how they know since they know it's a fantasy world, they can interact with the audiance watching as if it's a storybook they're reading.

Well that's the rundown for the episoes. Go find them if you can.

Watching "The big bash". Does Bashful have a thing for the queen or not?

I think he's always and will always be like that around girls he thinks are pretty. Remember when, in the future, Snow White stayed at their cabin? He could will only be able to have got a few words out before having to have burying his face. Prequel tensing is confusing.

In the future? I thought this was way past the events from the movie.

The 7D are way younger-looking than they are in Snow White, though.

Are you sure this isn't just a multiverse thing? Like this could be another generation of dwarfs mabey. Now i'm wondering if QD will give birth to Snow White and die from childbirth/killed by Hildy, now the wicked witch, and THEN we see an older seven dwarfs which started it all. just a thought.

I'm just wondering if the 7D and the movie snow white are just two different entities. That way I can enjoy them as two different things.

That's what i'm thinking.

I really hope... REALLY HOPE, that this otherwise great show is completely separated from that damn movie. I don't want that Queen to turn evil for no good reason. I actually like her as a character, dammit.

It won't be her, it will be Hildy, somehow. Still I hope this is totally unrelated, which it's turning out to be.

(x4) Other than having the seven dwarfs as characters, they're completely different things; I don't see how they could be compatible with each other.

I still have to catch up, but right now I'm imagining Snow White as some kind of Bad Future of the 7D show. (The Glooms are named after the original Queen Grimhilde, right? Hmm...)

So we just had frickin' Jay Leno and Whoopi Goldberg as some useless oracles... Say, is Sneezy now the second beardless dwarf? Or are he and/or Dopey hiding their beards in their outfits?

Does anyone else think the theme song sounds too much like "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life For Me" toward the end? The first time I heard the carillon, I thought they were summoning the Pirates of the Caribbean.

Found a synosis on the next new episode: Grandpa Grumpy & the Ogre

Grumpy and Happy's grandfathers take them out for a hike and meet up with a giant ogre.

Well, that's just my rundown of it. But this may mean that I was right that this is a whole new generation of dwarfs. And the classics MAY still be alive, the ep hasn't aired yet.

If that's true, and I have to exclaim this shit here and now (it's the only way I can get it out!) - THANK MOTHER FUCKING GOD. I so DO NOT WANT the queen character on this show to turn evil over jealousy issues. I will drop this show if that happens, if only because I'd rather not be reminded of the damn movie... I'm going to be honest with all of you - I (kind of... no I really, REALLY) hate the original movie, hence my feelings toward all of this.

Please don't turn this into a complaint thread.

I'm not here to complain; I'm just sharing my honest opinion on some things. Besides, I would only be complaining if I didn't like this show. Not the case.
