I can't buy it right now, but I'll definitely keep a personal note about it.

Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.Lo and behold: The official trailer .
One thing that wasn't entirely clear to me from the trailer: can the player affect the direction of the ball (beyond simply hitting or missing it)? From what I see there, the player's choice of position comes down to one of a five pre-set locations, and the ball;s trajectory should determine which of those the player goes to—can the player adjust the angle of reflection, as breakout games tend to do according to where on the paddle the ball hits?
My Games & WritingIt is possible to give the ball a cut, yes, but the predetermined locations of the paddle force the player to stay in motion. I'm not overly happy with the concept, either, because I prefer the precision of a classic Breakout game, but Chloe was of the opinion that it brings a bit of a sense of urgency into the game.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.Ahh, fair enough. I suppose that his has the virtue of forcing the player to make do with what may not be an ideal position, which may lead to interesting decisions.
My Games & WritingI haven't played the most recent version yet, but I playtested the game during development and urged pinpointing the ideal paddle speed to make the game playable with this particular mechanic.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.I like it and wouldn't mind having it on my 3DS.
Doube post; sorry.

Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.Sadly, developing for eShop is not an option right now .
And here's the first press coverage .
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. Also, I see there's an Android version. I'm gonna download that and see how it runs on my phone, since this kind of game seems better suited to a handheld device, being a "pick up and play" kind of experience.
Your comment on Youtube says you liked it. Glad to hear .

My lovely friend Chloe Sagal, who you might know as the developer of the survival horror adventure game Homesick (still in development), and who has also been working with me on another game in the past months (still in development, too ), has just released a new little game of hers to bridge the gap. Its title be VIRUS JIGGLIN' FEVER, obviously inspired by a certain Game Grumps in-joke, and it is a nice little action puzzle game that sports NES-style graphics and plays a bit like a horizontal Breakout game with a setting and rules similar to Dr. Mario.
It's available for PC and Android, and can be bought directly via the following link. Please consider giving it a looksie . It's very important to me, because Chloe is very much living on the breadline and desperately needs every penny. So consider it a charity appeal.
