Additionally, the big space battle between the Biases seems to indicate that any Flood form more complex than spores or infection forms are susceptible to the Halos as well (presumably due to the firing effect killing off the Graveminds and rendering all affected biomass, including those already infected, unusable by the Flood).

World Whosball Champion 1945-1991Fair enough. I always had trouble wrapping my mind around how that worked after reading that one Headscratcher for Halo 3. :P
but HOW?Halo CE Anniversary Edition terminals also show the Flood being destroyed by the Halo effect. Biomass and everything. Presumably solely the spores can withstand the effect.
The complete explanation, as of The Forerunner Saga, is that on their own, as seen in Cryptum, the Halo rings merely short out a target's nervous system but leave the bodies intact. Then in Silentium we see the Forerunners seeding atmospheres with solute, so that the bodies are dissolved when the rings fire and don't stay around to poison the environment. Presumably the Flood are themselves affected by the nervous disruption, as mentioned with the battle of Mendicant and Offensive's fleet.
So, in short, there likely isn't much danger of the Flood having survived on the remains of the Ark.

And here I thought it was more akin to how Promethean weapons work in Halo 4. It simply burns away all the sentients to nothing.
That sounds more...comprehensive.
Technically solute seeding is a retcon, as folks pointed out that the animals killed on Charum Hakkor weren't dissolved when we saw a Halo do that in Anniversary, so they added something in Silentium to explain that. Hence the slight complication.
Cover for Hunters in the Dark◊. The Ark looks remarkably intact, if chipped in some spots. And check out those blind wolves!
Is it sad that, blind wolves aside, the thing I'm happiest to see is further confirmation that Thel's faction doesn't go for that Hesdurosi wife-beater armor nonsense?
World Whosball Champion 1945-1991His faction is regular military, Jul's kinda is not.
Intro vid for the F2P Russian game. According to the Russian on the SB thread, the setting is basically a training station equally funded by the UNSC and the SoS, featuring the most cutting-edge technology from both sides.
EDIT: Long story short, Elites have returned to multiplayer (in Mother Russia).

World Whosball Champion 1945-1991Swords of Sangheilios; basically, Thel's faction.
World Whosball Champion 1945-1991Ah, okay.
So Sully survived the war, and followed in his father's footsteps

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Interviews with John? Yeah, good luck with that.
Unless they mean "people that knew him" in which case good luck with that too, considering so many people that knew him are dead or not even really in a position to give interviews.
Giraud says on the Episode 00 soundcloud that he's been interviewing people who knew him; likely people like Hood, and any soldier who fought alongside him (lol if they choose this way to canonize Chips Dubbo). Come to think of it, this might be a way to bring in Maria, considering that she was supposed to have retired from active duty after the war.
EDIT: Apparent armor descriptions from the F2P Russian game; looks like the UNSC is trying to figure out ways to adapt MJOLNIR technologies for non-augmented troops and even police.

World Whosball Champion 1945-1991I just started reading Escalation and my only question is, does the art get better?

Eh
Oh really when?By Issue 16, the art◊ is a masterpiece◊.

Nothing particularly exciting this time for anyone who's already read New Blood (or seen the spoilers).
World Whosball Champion 1945-1991Sounds like Mr. Forbeck had the handle for the ODST characters perfectly. Romeo is just that way in the game. Such a jackass yet honest about it. (ESPECIALLY if you have the IWHBYD skull on.)

The next bit of the ARG is supposed to come out today, but all I see on the page is a letter. This isn't it is it?
I Bring Doom, and a bit of gloom, but mostly gloom. The letter came out a couple days ago. Also, the stuff's probably not gonna be out until like about 9 pm or so Eastern Standard Time (USA).
EDIT: Basically, during The Walking Dead season finale.

World Whosball Champion 1945-1991Episode 1 of Hunt the Truth, plus the new trailer:
Also, the canon discrepancy in Episode 1 is fully deliberate, with Giraud finding out that he's being bullshitted to during the end.
EDIT: Also, one more trailer after the end of TWD.

World Whosball Champion 1945-1991
Presumably any Flood there would still be dead due to the fragments of the ring raining down on the Ark and smashing the surface to pieces.
