My dad is best friends with the main actor Macon Blair. He's really trying to get people to see this. Glad to see someone else knows what this is.

I have had it recommended by the Good Doctor. You can find his review here. I'm going to try and find it next week.

Yes, this is a very good film.
What I like most about it is that it's a revenge thriller with a the most reluctant avenger I have ever seen.
With cannon shot and gun blast smash the alien. With laser beam and searing plasma scatter the alien to the stars.

Has anyone had a chance to check this out yet? It made a big splash on the festival circuit.
Brief Synopsis: A taciturn young homeless man learns that the murderer who ruined his life is being released from prison. From there, things get worse.
This is the kind of thriller we need. Prolonged dread and fear, punctuated with brief moments of chest-shattering tension and some awesome moments of violence. Unforgettable lead performance by the up-and-coming Macon Blair.
I would liken it to more recent films as Winter's Bone and Cache.
