given how much i hate grinding in pokemon, theres not a chance of me not using exp share.
I'm nuzlocking, so I need to be as overleveled as possible
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.ugh.cant wait till December to join the fun.
Secret SignatureI'm Nuzlocking too, but sometimes I turn it off.
...not right now, though, gotta grind so I don't get rekt by Norman.
Memento Raltses must be annoying huh.
Secret SignatureNot as annoying as finding an Abra as your first Pokemon in Granite Cave.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.ooooh.Sharpedo gets it's own surf sprite!cool!
and is faster apparently.
Secret SignatureIt's like that for Wailmer and Kyogre too.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Wailmer has a unique model on the overworld, but has no added effects. Sharpedo moves roughly twice as fast as every other Pokemon with Surf, and Kyogre moves something like 25% to 50% faster and has a giant hitbox if you Dive.
I sure said that!Ah, so Sharpedo is what you want to Surf on, yeah?
Heart of StoneHmm, I've been wanting a Sharpedo for a while now actually, now I have an excuse.
Oh really when?Yeah, that sounds pretty compelling. Damn, sorry Wailord and Walrein you might have to sit this playthrough out.
Does Wailord have his own sprite too?
Thought y'all might enjoy this.
Honestly, I tend to do a cycle of leaving it on and leaving it off. I tend to like hand training my Pokemon too much and with the EXP Share, I don't get to train my other teammates.
Persona 3 Portable LiveblogNow effort training one of my Ralts up. She will be the main Special damage source for my party.
Current interim team, before first Boat Ride to Dewford:
- Masha 2, the Shroomish. She'll stay a Shroomish until she gets Spore, then after evolution and a few Heart Scales, her projected final moveset is (Spore, False Swipe, Mach Punch, Bullet Seed) as she will have the power of Technician. May transfer False Swipe to a dedicated capture specialist and let her take Leech Seed or Rock Tomb instead.
- Bob the Combusken. He has Rock Tomb and Double Kick, and will keep Rock Tomb until he takes Rock Slide or something. Ember and Peck are his last 2 moves, which will get changed around. As he will likely have a Mega Stone of his own, he might just get TM 17 just to guarantee the first Speed Boost goes off uninterrupted, and he will either take Blaze Kick or Flare Blitz for his final fire-type STAB move. Double Kick might stick around for Sturdy-and-Sub-breaking.
- Zigzagoon, the Item Gatherer and basic HM peon. He will carry Cut and Surf for a bit, and most likely complement them with Strength and Rock Smash.
- Taillow, the Burd. Guts, Wing Attack, Quick Attack. Will get Facade and/or Acrobatics later, and quite possibly a Burn Orb if I can get one cheap (or import one from Kalos, lol).
- (Japanese Name I haven't taken a closer look at), the Japanese Transfer Azurill from a Wonder Trade. Still has yet to evolve to Marill, but Huge Power and a hefty Attack effort training regime will make 'em into a Physical powerhouse.
- Ralts, one of the numerous Raltses I was out spending all my pokeballs catching with the dexnav She'll become a powerful, slightly-tanky Special striker in my team.
Future plans: Sharpedo for the Water HM specialist, Tropius for Flight specialist. I have a low-level Bold Compoundeyes Joltik from another trade who looks promising as a teammate. Possibly a second, Capture-dedicated Breloom with Spore and False Swipe.

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Dang, now I gotta make a Sp. Atk Sharpedo just for the awesome surfing.
And I wanted to do a Nuzlocke on this game too, but I'm so tempted to cheat and get a Sharpedo on my team through Bank...
seems like the Dexnav is giving a few mons new popularity huh?
Secret SignatureI intend to use the Exp Share once I figure out what party I want, ev breed or not.
Ralts, or should I say Gardevoir, has always been popular to begin with.
Saaaaaaaaay, does Hustle's Field Effect still work? (Hustle: blocks encounters weaker than the lead's level)

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I think it should still work.
Sweet, that makes it a great lead ability when hunting for dexnav encounters :D
CEO Stone confirmed for religious. Praise the Helix!
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Pellipers can carry Lucky Eggs. =O
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! In DexNav encounters, right?
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Yeah.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!
I'm using it because honestly the in-game battles are a bit of a slog until the last couple of Gyms and I really want to explore the post-game content.
I sure said that!
