You shoot other players to get them out of your world?
At long last, I can finally act like a commissar in a video game!

It's an item (called "parting shot"), mind you, not your actual combat firearm.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.Still sounds awesome.
Wait, wasn't there different ammo types or something I saw in one video? What if Parting Shot is just ammo for your gun?
Nope, it's an item in the same vein as the bells. But there will be various types of ammo, some of which are probably geared towards actually dealing damage, rather than staggering enemies.

Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. So apparently the dungeons will be randomly generated. Sounds interesting, actually.
I don't know how I feel about that, if it's correct. The Souls games always felt sort of controlled or finely tuned (or at least were trying for that) in terms of enemy encounters, and I'm not sure that could be achieved with random generation.
Also, define 'dungeon'. Will there be some kind of overworld, with 'dungeons' being separate areas?
I'm not sure. I'm just parroting what I'm hearing on the PS Experience.
"Bloodborne to feature procedurally-generated dungeons for extended co-op play!
Looks like this feature will be separate from the main campaign (which is a good thing, since intricately and carefully designed levels are perhaps the most important aspect of any Souls game).
Very excited for this feature to help keep the online functionality alive in a new way. We’re less than four months away now!"

New gameplay material with a nifty blowtorch/flamethrower off-hand weapon...
...and a first glimpse at the promised random dungeon feature.
So I'm guessing the boss they showed in the VGX demo is what you turn into if your own blood gets too corrupted.
Quite possible. Would be interesting, to say the least.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.Ugh. I hate steelbooks.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.I'm not the only one, eh? The soundtrack and artbook sound quite nice, but the steelbook kind of actually repulses me from the Collector's Edition...
And the Nightmare Edition.. well, I could stand to have some decorations, but I don't think I can rightly consider it responsible at that price. (Not that I think it's a terrible price for those sorta feelies, but a little beyond what I will already need to be spending on this damn game.)

Not many IRL know about this game and I'm sad.
I feel your pain there, friend. Hell, it even seems like many people online don't know about it! Even this topic is bizarrely quiet and still for what should rightly be a momentous game with a terrific pedigree and promise. (Though I suspect much of that has to do with lingering hesitance to believe the hype over the sense of... disappointment that Dark Souls II engendered. It's not really fair, but it's understandable.)
Though I guess it doesn't help that, of the two close friends I have that are at all into games, the one friend I have who was a big fan of Dark Souls seems determined not to get excited for a game she'll likely never get a chance to play thanks to the PS 4 exclusivity, and the other is determined not to hear anything even remotely related to the Souls series out of a combination of her wanting to play the games and never likely going to have the time to do so. It leaves all my thoughts about Bloodborne just kinda twisting in the wind.
I just assumed the lack of conversation here was due to a lack of information at the moment. Not that that stopped us speculating with Dark Souls II. And thinking about it, the release isn't really all that far away...
I'm definitely getting it though, all preordered and everything.
Eh people who were disappointed over DS 2 were the ones hyping up the A-TEAM BACK SAVE US MIYZAKI the most though. Or maybe after 3 games the Souls formula is just sort of getting old?
Many folks don't like the new direction. They complain about the "generic" scenario, the "Devil May Cry-like" (sic!) gameplay, and other shit. Always the same kind of detractors, though.
I don't get the complaints. This is basically to the Souls games what Shadow Tower was to King's Field.

Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.Having played the EB Games Expo Demo (The TGS Build), it feels different enough. In fact, the game it reminds me the most of is, of all things, God Hand.

A corpse should be left well enough alone...Well, it actually didn't feel all that much different to me from playing Dark Souls 2, but that's because I always played as a dual-wielding character, and as such focusing on evasion rather than defence.

Seems Europe is getting a bundle.
Not really a sequel, but Miyazaki said he'd focus on the strengths of what made the franchise's inception so bloody awesome.
