Interestingly enough, the scientist is handling it better than most of them. The author confirms in the comments that the guy in the last panel is largely deaf, which accounts for the nonchalance.
Neat! Adding too my web comic list. I hope there will be Soviet take on super soldiers too.
“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.I'm a bit surprised that Bombardier didn't just tumble from the sky after the possession. They've made a bit of a deal of how he's the only one who can operate the harness.
Oof... a lot of Pyrrhic victory being passed around.
And apparently the Baron believes in Treasure Chest Cavity storage.
This webcomic does not shy away from tough consequences of war. Max mourns Ox. Depending on how close Luke was, Max may have given away his secret too, although I suppose he could also claim that he was just neglecting to give the Golem his next target, resulting in the delay.
And they're back. I like the consequences of telepathy in a world where no one else thinks to shield their thoughts.
Honestly, this is a real problem, getting so embittered about people not taking your religion seriously that you shut them out when they actually come to you for help.
Yet another case where I'm amazed we don't already have a topic... The Specialists is an alternate continuity for WW 2 where the Nazis attained superpowered soldiers via mystical artifacts and the Americans did the same via technology. War is depicted as a horrible thing, but sometimes necessary, and the author doesn't shy away from the fact that the United States was horribly racist and sexist at the time.
Seems we're starting a series of vignettes where the superheroes learn the horrors of war.
