Yes, because he never got to be mascot. Mickey is more or less off limits, though.

I like the Ducktales version of Donald. He's still angry, but he channels that anger into protective parental instincts.

Yesterworld Entertainment did a deep dive on the corporate drama behind Chuck E. Cheese and Showbiz Pizza. There's a lot of backstabbing and betrayal in the animatronic pizza performance business!

I don't remember every aspect of the segment, but it was a nice stroll down memory lane and it's sad to hear the business changed so much over the years—like McDonald's did too.

I gotta rewatch those FIFA segmented again sometime. That was pretty big at the time when he not only bought time in Trinidad for a segment, but also got a response back from Jack Warner. Things like that and him eating/doing all those things he'd only eat/do when Sepp Blatter resigned was an epic saga to say the least and they're what made me realize this wasn't any regular comedy news show, but really something special.

The biggest takeaway I got from the video honestly was that there really was a business called "Pizza Planet".

With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptation

The episode where John responded to Jack Warner's response was the end of the Torture episode—and its legendary!

Definitely excited to show my friend the whole Bird of the Century arc too. So amazing. Haha.

There was a trailer released on the YT channel recently. The show’s back this upcoming Sunday.

It doesn't appear to be on the YT channel yet but last night's episode was about the Supreme Court- specifically how public opinion of it is at an all-time low because of "gifts" many justices have received. The segment particularly focused on Clarence Thomas.

The Supreme Court/Clarence Thomas segment was amazing. The way it ended? Beyond awesome!

Here's the trailer non-embedded.

Oh man, that ending. I wonder, who thinks Clarence Thomas will take the deal?

On one hand, he takes it and it might make a statement about the Supreme Court not making enough money. On the other hand, he takes it and sets a precedent in that he not only outright admits he can be bought, but also throw the whole system under scrutiny as well. In short, both would be bad for him regardless of both the money and the bus in the long term.

Of course I hope he takes it though. For all we know, maybe he will. Haha.

[up][up][up] But if he does take it then I don't think public opinion will really be an issue. At least not to him in his retirement

#3521: Feb 20th 2024 at 8:19:46 AM

That's true. He'd at least be happy to end his career in wealth. It's definitely gonna show if he's someone who can put principle over money or not since taking the money would and the bus would indicate his heart's not truly in the job that he's not been doing well or right for a real long time.

This was just the first episode of the season! Who knows what other craziness awaits this year!? Haha.

According to the Sun [https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/10442445/john-oliver-pay-net-worth/amp/] John Oliver’s net worth is $50 million (apparently he has a salary of $8 million a year) though I don’t know how reliable that is. Celebrity gossip news and Celebrity Net Worth figures are often unreliable and I’m not how you could go about verifying that info.

Anyway, I imagine Clarance Thomas won’t take the deal but it’d be hillarious (and more proof reality has become a parody of itself).
