Disney unlike BS likes to put a stranglehold on stuff like this.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life. Not related directly to the movie, but this will be the first time since they started airing in 1965 that the Peanuts holiday specials won't be on broadcast TV.
Apple TV+ will be the new home. There will be short windows where they'll be free to watch, otherwise you need an Apple TV+ subscription.
That's interesting. I wonder why they're doing things that way.
It's been 3000 years…Because money. Not sure how Apple TV+ is faring right now, but I guess the free time windows are to rope people into seeing how Apple TV+ works?

I wonder how that's gonna pay off, at least as far as Christmas goes. There aren't any shortage of other iconic films/shorts to go with that holiday, so losing one of the classics isn't gonna cause the others to vanish off cable television.
They have more free reign over Halloween and Thanksgiving at least, so those I can at least see working out well alongside the other holidays ol' Chuck seems to be the only one doing stuff for.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaYep, Apple paid $$$$ to get the rights to Peanuts. They're also going to be producing a new series, The Snoopy Show.
Despite the name and ownership, you don't need an Apple device to watch. You can watch in a browser and on some smart TVs, though there's no Android app.

No Roku, no game console penetration and the like is hurting them. Obviously Apple wants you in their ecosystem but the issue is clear.
Actually, it's been confirmed today that the PS5 will have Apple TV+ on day one.
Really? That’s good news.
Now if only I could order one of the freaking things.
Apple has relented a bit; PBS will broadcast A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (11/22) and A Charlie Brown Christmas (12/13).
The specials are still available on Apple TV+ and will be streaming free 11/25-11/27 and 12/11-12/13. Subscribers already have access to the Thanksgiving special along with the Great Pumpkin.
I'll still miss this

At least they'll air without commercials.
So which movie is this again?
Optimism is a duty. This is related to Peanuts media for Apple TV. The Snoopy Show comes out February 5.
Nice to see the traditional animation.
Although Peanuts now belongs to Apple, they will be sponsoring a free broadcast of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown on PBS on 10/24/2021. You can also watch it any time on Apple TV+.
This coming week I need to just watch a bunch of Halloween episodes of various cartoons plus Great Pumpkin, which I have not only on Blu-Ray but also the Peanuts 1960s Collection DVD.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!
My guess is creative control. Schulz probably wanted to have a say in the productions, but Disney would put him on the bench next to A.A. Milne and P.L. Travers.
