Why is that a buzz kill? Its called game balance.

You are not going to be invincible and every design will have its flaws. Those tanks are nowhere near as a fast or maneuverable as fliers or hovers. Fliers and hovers have greater range of mobility and maneuverability but have lighter carry weights and are a bit more fragile.

Every design has its flaws and limitations. Never mind the many variations on each design can produce differing results.

But no matter what your design sooner or later your going to get popped. Just have to learn the ins and outs of the various designs and weapons.

Also before I forget again> It isn't the pilot that is the weakness but the blocks he sits on. Two blocks.

after playing for a while and being at tier 4 currently, i found a way how i battle Gun Chairs, far away people, and planes.

if i fire the SMG in slow, concentrated shots, and stand still, i may be wide open, but dammit, in most cases everyone is already torn up and on their last legs, or just fires blindly hoping to hit me.

but it works, for me atleast, got quite a few, far away, gun chairs with my tactic.

Firing in short bursts makes the fire more accurate and likely to hit. The more guns you have the more effective it is over distance. The worst craft so far are the Bomber type fliers.

Is it me or are there fewer SMG tanks in Tier 4?

[up]seems so...the higher i get the more Sniper and (Plasma)Bomber do i think to see. and while i would consider myself a SMG-Tank, i always manage to end up as (what the game calls) a Gun-Bed...iunno, i just prefer the SMG (wish there was a shotgun weapon however, i just prefer them the most when Guns are the main weapons)

And i RARELY see a medic...okay, might be im just T4, but still, i'm gonna make me a Medi Car, I'd like to be useful again once i'm turned into a sitting duck made out of scrap metal...so i "Do unto others as how they shall do unto you"

You won't see vehicles with walking legs or nano disruptors with any kind of frequency until you reach T6. Both of those parts don't have T4 versions so they're very expensive to obtain and use at lower tiers, and having any kind of leg on your machine automatically boots it to at least T5 in any case.

That isn't entirely true. Because of how the tier calculation works you can have tier 6 weapons in a tier 4 match. While weapons and equipment of higher tiers notably add more points to the tier calculation body and propulsion blocks add less. If you build a vehicle with a mix of tier 3 and 4 blocks it is entirely possible to be in a Tier 4 match with tier six weapons. In fact I saw a flying healer just today. Small zippy craft with about 2-3 nano healers mounted on it.

Hover chairs that use rail cannons frequently take advantage of this as do the bombers. They use lower tier body parts to get higher tier weapons. The trade off is powerful weapons but a more fragile body.

[up] exactly, i mean, medi's can appear in lower tiers, but just not as often as in higher tiers

also, i just Reached T5, build myself a Plasma-Bomber...and thanks to the Overwolf update with their shiny red blocks, i decided to call my plane "the Red Baron" (bonus points for me Being German)

and now i understand why so many like to play bomber planes, they're are literally dropping bombs on our heads, and if the player is a good pilot, difficult to hit.

...that is unless you play a Plane with SMG's...

I saw a triplane bomber set up today. They had to shear off 3 of the wings and chew up one of the engines before it nosed in and got finished off on the ground.

Personally i use a tier 8 beast of a bomber with twelve wings, it takes alot mroe than three missing wings to take mine down, generally i can fly with three wings being the only ones left.

I loathe you flyboys tongue. As long as you have at least one wing on each side you can pretty much keep going, while us wheel users are kinda fucked up by just losing one. Even more so with the latest physics update.

So tank treads are finally here. :3 They are awesome. Heavier, slower, and more expensive then wheels but they have higher armor and very nice stability on all surfaces. I have a half track now.

I temporarily forgot you could mix movement parts, so I was utterly baffled yesterday to see this monstrous T7 half-track with overwolf legs in front, instead of wheels.

Lol. I have seen one guy who used jet engines with his. Damn that thing could climb slopes.

I forgot the tank tracks can turn on a dime like really quickly in place.

I had my fair share of fun with the Tanks too. I almost Never fall upside down because of how friggin Heavy i am. and i can climb some slopes up and surprise some enemies.

I feel like i am Acrofatic in Vehicle form...

So I built a hover drone(?) with tier 8 jet engine propulsion and a tesla blade in front, with the intention of blitzing the enemy force and destroying one unit outright. It... doesn't work very well.

I'd have liked to have made it an actual flying missile, but you spend so much time trying to aim the bloody thing that you never hit anything.

why can't this game have traditional flight controls for god's sake

I have one of my ships kitted out with t6 plasmas, 2 Jammers, 1 Radar Receiver, and the Communicator, slap some jet turbines and hoverblades and I'm zipping around the whole map. That's my strategy, get to the other side of the map and blast people from behind. It's funny because my old ship was a big vehicle designed for the front lines, only for the upkeep of upgrading it's armor got too expensive, scrapped it, replaced it with a tiny hit n' run version. Works wonders as an ambulance as well.

Sooo... does anyone has any thoughts about the Big update coming in a few days?

i like the fact that we get a "Destroy the base" mode, and the HUB will be perfect for the creative ones to show off their cars...i mean walking sculptures.
