Looks great, but there is one very important thing missing from the sign up.

A slot for Badass Armor Name.

[up][up]HADA Cs? I don't think they exist.

[up]I thought about adding that, but it seemed like it word force the players to name their suit early. In hindsight I should have put it there and left (optional) next to it.lol

So, Dragon Fortress means that Speed becomes 0. What does that do?

Taken from Clarification

"You can't have 0 or negative stats. I battled with this one for a while, but it seems you guys are more of a casual crowd, so I left a minimum."

Changed to

"You can't have 0 or negative stats. I battled with this one for a while, but it seems you guys are more of a casual crowd, so stats may only be reduced to 1 remaining points. Any further reduction is ignored."

I probably should have asked this sooner. I'm not totally sure what the "Year 1" we voted on is, exactly. Is this taking place right after we get our suits? Or a year later? And if we're from all over the world, how are we supposed to have our characters come together? Do you have that planned, or should we all take a vacation to Vegas at the same time?

Year 1 starts with you exiting the black box.

Honestly, I have different flags written for different parts of the earth, plus several general event flags I set up to fill up extra slots.

So it's up to you guys to group together. Like I said, you can go all murder hobo and meta game your character into fights with everyone else. I have several grouping flags prepped, like "Government demands everyone who has a suit to report to such and such place for country X", but I don't have anything planned for you guys to do as groups so much have I planned several things for you guys to do as "groups".

For example; Several of you can respond to "Government demands" flag, and you can start to group up at the given location, and while players are grouping up I might do a random flag like "Fortress Fight(Two people using Fortress Suits get into a brawl outside the registration area)" at the grouping location, to keep the players distracted until the next flag is activated, which would have a choice for players at that grouping to decide from which may in fact leave the players at crossroads that take them different places or even in conflict with one another.lol

I plotted a rough skeleton story that spanned twenty years, each year having several flags for different areas leading to the next year. Almost all flags are changeable and can be affected by the player. For example; I plan to introduce factions, and those factions are created after several flags, like "Fortress Fight", have been completed. The principals of those factions will be affected by what the players do.

When I wrote the story I planned on only juggling four to five players, but the interest sheet makes me afraid that perhaps I underestimated, so the RP start will be delayed until Sunday or so, not only to give more players time to fill out a sheet, but I need the several days so I can write some more filler flags and plot hooks.

On the other foot, I don't want you to walk away with the belief that I plan on railroading you into the story and that there is a rigid structure. Don't like the fact that your character is following what seems to be a murder? Don't like walking around a small town trying to figure out who robbed a bank? The call to duty sounds more nagging than interesting? Have you character check the internet, or jump into the back of a train, or rob another bank. I will get you something to do.

About how many suits fell on Earth?

I know I'm starting my character on a location apart from everyone, but given their flight abilities I plan on perhaps linking up with others easily and go back and forth on what I want her to do at home and keeping up with the suited people on other locales.

Also, given that the country she's starting is not that big how many suits do you think would have fallen there?

Also, a particular reason for it being 2012 instead of 2014?

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

Since there isn't an axe on the sheet could I just use the swords stats for it and give it an axe aesthetic?

lol. Re-read the flavor text, it allows you to do that.

[up][up]Whoops, didn't see you.

Roughly a million scattered across the globe in no real pattern. Most landed in uninhabited areas and inaccessible areas. A lot of property damage in some of the bigger cities.

2012, because it's already gone and I miss her so much.

If it's alright, I'm going to ignore the part of the setting that involves the pilots designing their own suits and instead roll with my pilot finding one that's already designed, for lack of a better word.

It's been fun.

Might be some problems with that, but will be fine under two conditions:lol

1) As long as the suit doesn't have any enhancements or options you would need to have been there to use(Ex: Nanites, Brain Implant, Fusion, etc).

2) Justify why the previous owner is dead, lost their suit, gave it to you, or whatever handwave you can come up with.

Works for me, I guess. Though does not being there for the creation of the suit really negate any way of implanting the pilot with those modifications? I don't need any Nanites, but lacking any Interface beyond analog is going to be a bit of a blow.

Sorry for the doublepost, but I just wanted to clarify - it's not so much finding someone else's customized suit that I'm looking for, as my pilot found the black box and this is what she got from it, without any real input from her.

It's been fun.

[up][up][up]I am not sure how that would work or why you would want that from a story perspective. I guess I really don't see a problem with the console having a random button.

Or do you literally want the pod to have made a suit for your character without any input?lol

I'm guessing that for story purposes, they want a certain user and suit combination, but unfortunately, if left to choose, the character they thought off would not have picked the set up they got.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

What daltar said, basically. I think it's a lot more interesting to see characters have to adapt to the powers they're given, even if they don't match up with the character's expertise or comfort zone, rather than the character being given exactly what they want out of the suit from the first minute.

It's been fun.

*shrug* Hand-waving it as the pod your character found was hit by another pod after landing, a malfunction happened, one pod door got jammed and the other pod malfunctioned and produced a random suit. I guess your character was just lucky and the suit was their size. lol

[up]That seems kinda overly-complicated. Can't we just say that like, after stepping into the en-suiting chamber, the wires in the suit dimension short circuited and just built a random suit for the person?
