If I see someone making bad edits, should I send a PM directly to the staff or go to Ask The Tropers? When is either option better than the other? The Know The Staff page says you shouldn't PM the mods for wiki issues; but if it's only one entry that is bad, is it really worth getting all the tropers inolved every single time someone natters or does a Justifying Edit on the entire wiki?

Ask The Tropers is the most common route, especially if large-scale cleanup work is needed. On the other hand, for vandals who visit Ask The Tropers, the "mod assistance" button in the sidebar may be better. For very active problem tropers, you might consider both.

Only one bad entry does not usually warrant a report.
