I like the OP's suggestion. I read it in less than 5 seconds. It was pretty clear to me too. If it's possible to use it, horizontal or vertical, I like it well enough. Just ma two cents.

It's a great image, but our copyright policy prevents us from using an entire work (all three panels), and I don't think it works with only two. The last panel really sends the point home.
