Yun shrugged. "Sure, I'll take the third shift."

Turning back to his team, he decided to speak his story. "My turn I guess. I'm from the Eastern part of Vale, a port city called Jade Harbor. Even though we were surrounded by Grimm in both land and sea, it was a beautiful place. Learned how to shoot by helping the community ward off Grimm looking for an easy meal, and learned how to tinker and fish in my spare time."

Beta

Chelsea sat up. Her head felt better and she could actually move now. Still felt really sore, though.

She noticed Pius brooding. "Um...are you alright?"

Gamma

As the team moved, Gaston stayed in the rear, mittering threats as he helped Davros carry the Mors Nepenthes.

However....

A dark shape was flying overhead. The Scavengers had caught up with them.

Delta

James grunted in confirmation, then gestured for Ieria to sit next to him at the edge of camp.

"The rest of you, get some sleep. You never know when you can rest again."

Medus clacked his teeth together to keep from snarling only succeeding in grinding them yet again. Okay have it your way. The rocker began circling the illusion. "Fine I suppose I have a bit more time for games. No Natasha, I don't imagine you when I kill Grimm. If I put the grimm through what I'd like to do to you...even monsters would beg for mercy." The teen pulled out Nightshaker and started swinging it in a slow circle next to him, its blade humming as it cut through the air.

"So, You want me angry. Wish granted. But I'm not Pius allowing my anger to rule my life. I'm not Jack going psycho with little provocation. Hell I'm not even Ieria with her semblance. I control my anger. My wrath is my beast." Medus glared at the illusion. "This doesn't have to be personal Grimm. Drop the act, let me leave with Jack and Sophie. Otherwise I will kill you. If I can't kill you I will leave a scar for you to remember me by when I leave and go live out my life in relative happiness. Your choice."

Beta

The gray-eyed Nobel turned his attention to his fellow team leader and noble when he heard her question.

"Yes, Chelsea. I'm fine; I was just thinking about...other things."

Medus

"It's funny how cute you are. And how stupid too." Natasha laughed cruelly. "Medus...you don't know how stupid you are, how easy it is for someone to manipulate you again, and again, and again. Your hate, and your anger is blinding you right now. You think you can't be fooled, well I'm afraid that it's a bit late for that. You say you aren't letting your anger take control, and yet here you are. The fact that I'm still here and you haven't tried to get rid of me yet is proof enough that you failed." She smirked, her mouth and face twisting unnaturally so she looked like a monster more than she did a human.

"But if you want me so bad...   HERE!   " Her voice twisted like her face, hoarse and cruel as two slender yet powerful arms smashed into the back of Medus' head and back, sending Nightshaker spinning away from him.

As Medus fell to his knees he felt woozy, his balance stolen from the hit. Can't get a bead on it, but it's here. Despite the difficulty the musician stumbled to his feet. "I name you...Gravemind. And Gravemind, you are a coward. Hiding behind tricks and illusions so you can kill your opponents. But Grimm I have studied to fight your kind, so I know one thing: You are prey, predators don't need to hide themselves or make themselves look more threatening than they are."

The rocker was stumbling about now looking for his axe. "How long have you been hiding Gravemind? How many of your family did you leave to the Beowolves and Ursa while you trembled in this bog like the pathetic shell that you are?" He laughed, the rage blocking out the majority of the pain.

Epsilon

Rufus arranged the body parts after he had volunteered to butcher the beasts. He was now quite a gruesome figure, covered in blood that he was as their last dying spasm caused their bodily fluid to squirt as he pried them apart. He made a mess of himself too as he cut open their bellies and broke open their rip cages, setting upon the task of treating the meat so that it wouldn't spoil as quickly as corpses would.

Now he set upon the task of cleaning up after himself, neatly stacking and arranging the edible parts to one side of the cave, using the batrocs' own hide as a floor cover. All as he did so, he tore into a cooked piece himself.

"Tough, dry," He grunted in monosyllables.

"Agh...n-no! We're not dead...We're here! WE'RE HERE!" Sophie started to bang her fists against the wall trying to get her team's attention. "J-Jack..."

"Ignore it. It's just an illusion. When the fuck could Olivia talk clearly?" the hunter asked, turning. "That's enough mind games, why don't you come out and play?" He shouted at the shadows, "Oh, I get it!" He taunted, "You're shy, Well, in that case, let me introduce myself. I am Jack Reisentoter. Descendant of the Giant Slayers, hound of the wild hunt, and if you don't come out, the guy who's going to turn this entire forest to ash." Jack said, figuring taunting the beast could get it to come out and play.

Gamma Team
"Hey, maybe you are good guy after all, no?" Davros said to Gaston when the human decided to help him carry away the dead Grimm. He temporarily took a hand away from the Mors Nepenthes to give him a thumbs-up, and then brought it back to the carcass to continue making their way, ignoring whatever sounds were coming from the forest.

Delta Team

Ieria quickly moved over to join James on the log, her auburn eyes reflecting the light of the fire duly. She sat in silence, her eyes, ears, and nose all scanning the environment.

Beta Team

"Ah, you're awake." Erik said as he turned to Chelsea. "Pius, Lucas, any luck finding food?" Erik asked them, rubbing his eyes as he sat up, he had obviously fallen asleep at one point.

Medus

The "Gravemind" lumbered over Medus, taller than an Ursa, but skinnier than even Francesca, it looked like an emaciated male human, with several bulges along its body where a a human's bones would be◊ along its shoulders and chest looked to be a bleached white uniform of a hunter who had perished long ago. It moaned as it stepped closer, picking up Nightshaker with one gangly limb...and then swallowing the whole weapon in one gulp. The weapon was moved into its torso with little to no effort as it swayed side to side.

You're not fighting me was all the voice said as the Grimm moved with a crack.

A lesson Port once taught in Grimm Studies would spring to mind. Not all of the Grimm Predators you face will favor the direct approach, some will use subterfuge. Some, will deceive you and try to lure you in to kill you. Be aware, and do not let yourself fall into their traps...

Sophie and Jack

The wall rearranged itself so that the image was replaced with a single word.

No.

The wall then fell away, revealing the path ahead...on the ground in front of them was a video, that of a gangly grimm that looked more like a human corpse than anything choking the life out of Medus, Syrene and Olivia with multiple limbs.

Medus growled in frustration. "I swear on whatever deities may or may not exist I'm going to start carrying my backup magnum after this." Then the rocker flashed the monster a wolfish grin as he fell into a fighting stance. "Okay. Let's dance!"

Immediately after saying that the musician sprang forward, throwing out a quick three punch combo before falling back out of range of the long arms. Wheres your weak point?

Delta

Before finding a place to fall asleep, Johnny called out to Ieria and James "Oi! If either o' you need ta get some sleep, just wake me up an' I'll take over." Once he'd said his piece, Johnny found a spot in Ayers' improvised shelter and promptly passed out.

"Wake me when it's my turn." Yun said before leaning against a corner in the makeshift shelter and falling into a light slumber.

Delta'

"If you hear the sound of us dying horribly, you should probably wake up." James said cheerfully.

Grinning he focused his gaze into the distance. "Oy, girly, ever heard of enforcers?"

Gamma

The howl grew closer, until suddenly it turned into yelps, then terrified squealing.

Gaston paused and drew his weapon.

"Oh no..." whispered Elysia as a shadow overhead blotted out the moonlight.

And then came the inhuman shrieks, seemingly coming from inside their heads.

Delta Team

Ieria turned to James and nodded her head. "Once or twice. I believe my father told me about them long ago, why?" She asked, curious about her teacher.

Delta

James smiled bitterly, a smile quite different than his usual one.

"There are many different kinds of monsters in Remnant, and not all of 'em are Grimm. Us Enforcers? We're the Hunters who hunt men."

"I've seen my fair share of humanity's jackassery over the years, hell, I grew up with some of the worst scum in history."

".....And now it's my job to kill each and every bastard who crosses the line. That's what an Enforcer is. A glorified hitman."

"I'm tellin ya now, once you graduate from Beacon, some bigwig might give ya a call."

"So. If ya have qualms about killing people? Might as well quit now."

"Hell, I can't count how many I offed..."

Delta Team

Ieria was silent for a moment as she stared at her hands. "I...have been aware since I began my training." She said quietly. "I have been prepared for it...my family, the Jades, we used to be bred for assassination, my grandfather wanted to change things...so we broke off from them and have not had any contact with them for years." She stared into the fire, her eyes far off. "...I remember one of them showing up when I was much younger, mother was angrier than I had ever seen her..." She shook her head and turned to James. "I am sorry, I do not mean to trouble you with my life story."

Jack turned looking at the image. Now, this was just pissing him off. he shrugged. "I am a man of my word." He said simply, before pitching the fireball to the side, causing it to erupt into a small inferno, catching some of the plants on fire.

Gamma Team
"Be looking out!" Davros shouted. "The gypsies must be wanting to steal what we are rightfully taking, or lumberjacks must be angry we did cutting to their trees. If we are getting back to the water we can be defending much better and make them be dying very easy. If they are not so scared they run away now."

Sophie wanted to get scared. She wanted to run and hide, but for some reason Jack was helping her to push through. She saw how angry he was getting, and it actually made her feel safe, for some weird reason.

She glared down at the video, and smashed it into peices under her foot.

Medus

The Rocker's blows fell on the beast hard, knocking it around to great effect, the "Gravemind" staggered as it inched backwards away from him, clutching at its chest...and then it moved forward, lashing at out Medus with blinding speed, if the blow landed, it would feel as if Medus had been struck by a heavy caliber bullet. To compound and worsen matters, the Grimm's arm spun in its socket as it punched, making a bizarre motion that turned the already strong punch even deadlier.

The Troublesome Twosome

The image morphed and twisted as Sophie stomped the ground before disappearing with a hoarse laugh. I will enjoy their suffering Was all the voice said.

To Jack's right, a movement in the bushes as something that had been nearby quickly ran.

Jack looked around, "Sophie, are you doing okay?" He askebefor going to one knee, and freezing the ground, creating a thin layer of ice. That way, if the creature moved, they'd have an estimate where it is.

"Whoa!" Medus cried out flipping backward for the first time in his life...only to end up falling immediately after that causing the punch to fly over his head. "Oh Gravemind, you sent me a fun toy to play with." Medus commented as he leapt to his feet and ran parallel to the enemy. The rocker broke off a nearby tree branch and threw it at the monster like a spear. "He's got good offense but shitty balance."

Could probably end this right off with my semblance but I feel beating this thing to death will really help me work out my anger issues.
