I've played the base game (Sniper Elite 2) and found that enjoyable, but it seems that they've forgotten what the whole game was about in the first place. Instead of stealth and precision, it's pretty much the Nazi Zombie mode from Call of Duty, only with a slight emphasis on sniper rifles and booby traps being the effective weapons.
So yeah, there's no way I'm touching those two. Would've been nice if they kept releasing new DLC scenarios or a new period setting for the games, but that doesn't look likely anytime soon.
