Heroes Reborn (2015)

So yeah, Hiro has powers. And we still have no explanation for why he hasn't turned back time and stopped this from happening in the first place.

Hopefully next week will answer just that.

I'd say that there's so much we don't yet know about Noah and June 13th that we really can't say if Molly made the right call there. She definitely knew what she was getting into when she let them plug her into the machine, so then whatever she feared would happen when she went with Noah had to be far worse.

I'm thinking Claire's power got digitized, turning her into a normal person and she got killed.

Also, I bet that telekinetic guy is Sylar. Since Zachary Quinto is busy, they use his shapeshifting power. In unoverse, it's so he can lead a more normal life so he isn't hunted down. Being the most infamous of the evos.

Still can't get used to "evo", every time I hear it my mind goes to Generator Rex.

I think Sylar was on that table, unlikely, but there was emphasis on the face.

I missed the episode. What happened?

I missed the episode before last actually, so this was an even more confusing series of events.

Noah, fat guy, and the evil stepdaughter broke into the evil daughter's mother's labs, where they're holding Molly Walker. Molly threatens Noah, tells him to forget the past and save the future... and shoots herself in the head. A whole bunch of other Evo's were captured and being plugged into strange apparatuses, and I think they showed Sylar's face on one of the tables.

Meanwhile, Katana Girl and that love interest whose name I don't remember are heading to America, and lover boy asks Katana Girl's fanbase to unite and meet them at some headquarters.

What's his face and his wife are going through hard times, and we find out What's his face was actually an Evo. His wife is so shocked by this she points a gun at him, hesitates, and they part ways after that. He's got some kind of solar energy absorption power, I'm not sure if he was somehow "infected" or if he started off that way. Yet another twist with him I wasn't expecting.

The Aurora Borealis Woman is training with another Evo, though I don't know what was going on there. The high school kid and his girlfriend get caught after going to get blood for a blood transfusion for his mother, apparently they were in a car accident the episode before.

Lastly, Spanish Batman upgrades his brother's armor and then the kid finds out about it, shortly before the evil government agents show up and attack him and the priest.

Are you sure that was Sylar?

A strange likeness at least, and they seemed to emphasize that Noah recognized the face of the person, they showed it twice. But I'd have to watch it again.

I didn't catch much of that scene since my signal went to shit, but I did hear Noah directly reference Sylar.

I think the guy whose face they focused on was Francis, the evo boyfriend of the corporate's daughter. You remember that in the mother/daughter conversation, Evil Mom never gives a straight answer as to the whereabouts of him.

Evil Mom talks about a world of "abundance", which I suspect means "right-sizing" the world's population ala R'as al Ghul and using the evos' powers as resources to support the remaining elite.

A callback I liked was Murder Wife's line about how things look better in the rearview mirror, and when she leaves her husband, that's where he looks.

For the record, I missed the last episode and didn't pay as much attention to this one as I should, so I'm not trademarking "Evil Mom", I'm sure she has a more pleasant name.

Yeah, I do remember something about the Stepdaughter's boyfriend being mentioned.

Well theres still my theory that Francis is Sylar using a pseudonym and shapeshifting.

Molly got STUPID as she got older! Don't change the past? Uh, lady, if they change it then none of this would ever happen!

Given the show's track record with time travel, its best they avoid it.

Yeah, I don't see how this could get worse. At least show them trying to avert it.

Without time travel, New York would be destroyed and/or the entire world would be dead from a virus.

Don't forget The Exposed Future, which they barely averted...only for Claire to ruin everything for everyone.

Preventing New York from being destroyed led to the timeline with the virus, altering history don't change certain events or end up leading to a different bad future.

Which they stopped, thanks to Time Travel. Exposed Future? Yep, stopped that too. Samuel destroying the world? Stopped that too.

In-Universe, I agree. Out, honestly, I liked the concept. The initial "save the cheerleader, save the world" is what made the first season famous. The twist with Future Peter was good, until it wasn't so good and he died like a dog.

I'm biased towards convoluted time travel plots, granted, but Matt Parkman's future with Daphne, the same future with Gabrial Gray IIRC, those were fairly interesting, especially Parkman's, since he had to come to grips with whether this future was real or not.

It's just they never explained how Peter got his scar in either of those future. And the whole deal with Arthur Petrelli was bull - another wasted opportunity, I really liked his introduction when he drained Peter's powers.

Yeah, all the power in the world, and he did squat with it. Dude could've been even more destructive than Samuel Sullivan was.

I think Angela said, "The only way to fix the present is to find the past," and she had Peter and Mohinder dig, dig in the location where her sister ended up. But what the hell was that even for, what did they accomplish that season? She had some unresolved issue with her sister, then her twisted sister just up and vanishes, never to be mentioned again.
