Looks like someone hates realistic humor.
"We be we baby!"I liked this episode too. Sweet and funny and Larry was a favorite from the Chuckleton's episode, so it's cool to explore him more. Seems like he's a veteran.
Oh, and at one point, Clarence accidentally gets sent to a preparatory school!
What happened? Why am I not allowed to post anymore!?Preview for "Company Man" is out:
Old episode, I know, but the Ginsburg toy from "Jeff's New Toy" totally reminds me of the Philadelphia Action Figure parody commercial from SNL.
...Well, that episode escalated quickly.
Looks like Belson's not going to be rich anymore.
That old woman's face at the end was bizarre and intense.
I don't about you guys... For me, Belson's suffering always makes this show better (especially when deserved, of course.). Then again, I just don't like him, nor can feel sorry for him, which makes it so enjoyable to see him fall when he does in any episode that it happens in, such as this latest effort.
How well this will be followed up on is the real question - this show doesn't seem serious enough to tell a real story and I'm more than convinced this isn't the end for that guy, as much as I would love it to be, if only to see this show truly challenge itself.

New Web Browser, same old Shokew.Hey, anybody missing Amy Gillis?
When I found out she really was moving away and the crew don't really have any plans to show her again, I ended up thinking:
"Well. That sucks."
I tired NOT to think about it (honestly because of how sad it is...), but yeah. It does suck - I'm curious if they could bring her back? How these writers handle it? Hopefully, if and only if they did, I'm hoping it's as good as the first time.

New Web Browser, same old Shokew.Even when Ms. Shoop did it (the meatball sub stain in "The Interrogation") and got away with it at his expense?
Belson may be a selfish jerk, but he's mostly benign, and his impish design is ridiculous.

Touche - too bad Ms. Shoop is such an un-noteworthy character, because yeah, it was pretty awful for her to have done that. Then again, every episode after that with her in it (save for Field Trippin') only seems to make her increasingly unlikable, sadly enough.
New Web Browser, same old Shokew. Also, it was Shoop that brought Larry as a blind date for Baker.
Yeah... Is it any reason no one talks about her, outside of here (and all we're doing, it seems, is pointing out why.)?
New Web Browser, same old Shokew. She's like an undetected tumor.
(Oh, and she was also responsible for Clarence's temporary turn to the darkside in "Li'l Buddy".)
Well, that tears it - I may hate Belson, but I don't think anyone has a reason to like Brenda Shoop. Oh, well - she was never a noteworthy character, anyway.
New Web Browser, same old Shokew. She's not really a character so much as a plot device. The only time the show ever really stopped to look at her was in "Lost Playground." Otherwise she just shows up and does stuff, unlike Ms. Baker or Mr. Reese who have gotten to show themselves off at times.
I love Ms. Baker - I don't like how she can't find a date, though.
Mr. Reese can be pretty damn hilarious, too - but he's not always someone I want to see (like Marceline, I appreciate him in small doses.).
New Web Browser, same old Shokew. This episode seemed rather nonchalant about that hardware store guy keeping those boys in slavery.
That's probably the only part of the episode ("Stump Brothers", 0/3/17/16) I'd find questionable. Everything else was spot on, though. Especially how they handled what was looking to be a typical "Sibling Rivalry" type conflict.
Some actual character development and an intelligent / heartwarming climax / ending in my simple slice - of - life show? YES, PLEASE. My only concern is if it sticks or not; that's how you know your show is truly winning.
New Web Browser, same old Shokew.Nothing aired last night, did it? Wikipedia says Sneaky Peeky aired 3/24, but i couldn't find a description, not on the CN website, and i found it on a streaming site but it had "Freedom Cactus" on instead.
Well, two episodes aired today, and both were... quite a trip. Didn't realize Percy was that much of a nut.
Percy's just a bit more excitable. It's actually a good juxtaposition for someone that even Clarence finds too weird and too given to flights of fancy.
The end of that episode was both hilarious and scary with those beetles going into Belson's eye. The Art Shift for the animal story was also pretty cool, felt like a Don Bluth or something.
I liked the Map of Coogan episode better. It was a fairly stock "learning adventure" plot which then went way off the rails.

I liked Field Trippin'! It's about how Clarence was accidentally sent to a prep school!
What happened? Why am I not allowed to post anymore!?
Okay, now Field Trippin, which aired last week, was surprisingly good - especially at the end.
However, I wasn't really feeling "Ice Cream Hunt", which came this week. Seriously, that old man might just be dumber than Chad - and that is not a good thing to me, seeing as I wasn't laughing as much as I could have at this, knowing that Clarence and co. were safe amidst all that chaos (with the car accidents), for a major example.
Then again, there's something about old people getting into trouble like this that feels kinda predictable to me in cartoons like this; maybe that's why I wasn't enjoying this as much as I normally would an episode of this show.
Hopefully next week will be better.
