Anastasie bourgeois woke up to the familiar feeling of a warm wet rough tongue skirting across her face.

'first day… miss… .first day… come on…. school' panted the excited high pitched male voice in her ear

'we can't be late miss' she heard 'new…. new students miss.."

''eh get off shinji i'm up' she said pushed the overtly friendly Shiba Inu doggy off her pink satin sheets, he fell ungracefully on to the ground landing on his back side but bounded back up to the headmistress pillow

'come on… new day…miss'

The Witch stood stretched to her full height of 5 feet, 4 inch and started derobing her stickly baby doll. Taking slightly more effort then she was expecting with the hot summer night. She got it about half way over her head when she realised she was stuck.

'could you?' she said signing to the small small dog which was respectfully glazing at her plush rouge velvet carpet.

Her loyal familiar sighed shut it's eye and and carefully helped peal his mistress's top off.

'come on… hurry new day'

he mumbled through the clothing

Free from her sleepwear the The woman reach under her pillow and pulled out an ornate gold ivory wand. She tapped it lightly. Her form changed from unclothing and sweatily to freshly bathed and wearing flowery white and blue sun dress with a red finish.

'What do think? Too informal? I know I should be wearing the traditional style for the first day but do I really want to be wearing a black heavy outfit on such as hot day?'

she ask the small dog as he placed her dirty clothing into a laundry hamper.

"Miss!' he cried again clearly worried about the time.

Molly Pollard snapped open her eyes, her heart racing. Her alarm was making a piercing ring earlier than she was used to. That alarm always filled her with a brief panic, and it was worse with the different time zone. She woke up drenched in sweat too, another reminder that she wasn't home.

"Oh..." She shut off her alarm and rubbed her eyes. Well, she had wanted to attend Sacré-Cœur Academy so she had no one but herself to blame. No use complaining about the time or the weather. It would all be worth it when she got to meet some amazing ghosts and visit crumbling, moss-covered cemeteries. She would have definite edge in history projects, being able to communicate with spirits of the dead.

All right, enough dawdling. Time to get dressed. Molly considered her options carefully, then pulled out some old jeans and a faded, over-sized T-shirt. Many witched were fashionable. Molly wasn't.

"Let's see what this year brings us," she muttered as she got her school supplies in order. It was a new day!

Bright and early, and Sari could hardly contain herself. "Aaaaand Morning!" A sudden burst of activity, and Sari's bed sheets were sent flying! Up bounded an already fully clothed Sari!

"Gha-gaha!?" A muffled cry rang through the room, followed by a dull wet thump. "O-oh, well that's just great..." Sari's sudden cry and stir of activity had startled Cuddles, her pet fish, clear out of his bowl, though he seemed more annoyed than threatened by this. "Sari, what are you doing?" he asked as he sprouted wings and fluttered up to meet his 'owner' at eye level.

"I'm ready!" Sari stated simply.

"For school? It's five in the morning!"

"Very ready!" Sari grinned.

"Oi..." Cuddles groaned, sinking a bit. It was only then that he noticed the girl's attire. "...Sari..."

"Yes!"

"No, I... I wasn't confirming your name, just... Sari...?"

"Yes?"

"Is that your school uniform?"

"Yes!"

"You slept in it...?"

"Yes!"

A long pause followed. Ultimately, Cuddles just let out a disappointed, "Oi..." before returning to his bowl. Sari had already fixed her helmet on her head and retrieved her broom. "So, you're really leaving now?"

"Yepper!"

"Huh... Well, enjoy your solitude..."

"I won't be alone."

"Who else is going to be there at five in the morning?"

"You."

"Me? Of-wh-wh-whaaaaat!?"

Sari snatched up Cuddles' bowl as she mounted her broom.

"Sari! Wait, no! You remember what happened last time!"

"Yeah! This'll be way more fun!"

"B-but! I have... my...!"

"Vroom vroom, broom a gonna go boom vroom!" Sari chanted cheerfully!

"Oh dear..."

Sari and Cuddles then burst through her window, flying full speed for class. "I'll fix that later!"

"My stoooorrriiiiees!" Cuddles wailed.

Anastasie eventually settled on a elegant little black number that wasn't too heavy. An original Hugo boss that she had been intended to say for a fancy occasion but decided she better make use of it before it became too outdated with the ongoing movements of fashion. It seemed... Witchy enough to make a good impression on the students with its heavy use of lace and buckles but it was enough not to seem out unseemly on her slender trim form.

Her dog came to her carry her favourite pair of red Gucci shoes.

'Good to go vintage don't you think? I do hope new Victorian Goth makes a return in upper-class fashion'

She said to her pet as she adjusted a large brass buckle.

she wigged her toes is as the dog slipped them on her well manicured feet and finished and finished off a glass of white wine for the night before.

she noticed her pet's disapproval look.

'What? I don't like to let good Chardonnay go bad.'

She said in pouting slightly as she placed on some dark red lipstick.

'Beside It's 13 o'clock somewhere'

She finished her make up and fabricated a piece of gum and started chewing hoping preempt any tell tale signs for her breath

"Woo! I'm so excited!" Sari cheered, actually hopping up and down.

"Ugh... Okay, there are people here now," Cuddles explained, motioning to the crowd of students that were beginning to congregate around the school. "So, now what?"

"I don't know," Sari answered. "You know, I'll bet you're the only boy here Cuddles."

"I'm also the only fish here, Sari!" Cuddles shouted before making a groan and taking a moment to calm himself. "Okay look. There's probably some sort of assembly for the new students. You should find out where that is and get there early." With a sigh, he added, "It would be embarrassing to be late at this point... Anyway, find a teacher or something and ask what you're supposed to do."

"Okie!" Sari answered, bouncing along as she tried to find some sort of authority figure to help direct her on her first day.

Anastasie bourgeois strolled into the grounds of the big sandstone building of the Academy her little doggy following her.

'I told... We didn't have time for that chi Làtta Frapuccino'

He said barely keeping up to his mistresses long strides he said annoy about the time.

'Will you relax?' She said finishing her paper cup of coffee'

She look for a bin to dispose of it. She couldn't find one so she took a second to pause and folded up it up in rough origami butterfly. She breath on it and it's wings started flapping and it flew away dropping a few drops of coffee onto the snout of her puppy dog.

'Look no one else is here, yet. Don't be such a rush' she said as the dog licked its shout clean.'

Shinji yipped and pointed to the girl who been politely waiting with a broom.

'Oh' said Anastasie bourgeois went over to introduce herself to the new student.

With a lively jog to wake her up, Molly came up to Sacré-Cœur Academy, a large sandstone structure. What a place! All the other buildings were so old and filled with character. It was such a treat being there. Other witches were pouring in. Molly hoped the day would be uneventful to begin with. Excitement could come later. She joined the crowd, feeling rather self-conscious given her plain clothes and less than flawless appearance. Well, that's what the Alms of Aphrodite was for, if she ever got really curious about being beautiful.

Molly glanced around, wondering about her fellow witches.

"Ooh! Hey, Cuddles? What about her? She looks authoritive!" Sari said, spotting an approaching woman... who was clearly a witch!

Cuddles tracked a line from Sari's finger, spotting the woman in question. If he'd had eyebrows, he'd have certainly had one of them raised. "Sure... Why not..."

Sari rushed forward to meet the woman, Cuddles and her broom dragged along for the ride. "Hi!" she said cheerfully as she was close enough to the witch. "What's you're name? I'm Sari! I'm new here, and I don't know what to do yet; can you tell me?"

Without pausing for a response, Sari peered into the fishbowl in her arm. "Was that good Cuddles?" Cuddles didn't answer, instead just sinking in the bowl with a sigh.

'Hello there you must be a new student' said Anastasie bourgeois wiping off the coffee form cover hand and offering it to the girl.

'Good to see student being so punctual, my students usually aren't'

'I'm the alteration and conjuring teacher here'

'Welcome to Sacré-Cœur Academy'

'It has quite a history you know? It was founded way back in... the past'. She said as she tried in vain to remember the exact date.

'I forget the exact date' she said finally admitting defend.

'But New Orleans home to one of the oldest continually running witches community in North America. We been around since days of Marie Laveau'

She said trying to make a good impression for the school and filling the holes in her knowledges.

'How do you find our little school?' She asked before the student ask question about history it was too early in the day for her to remember.

"hope you find it okay?"

"Ooh! I'm good at Conjuring too! Sort of; I mean, I can't be as good as you, right? But it's a lot of fun to be able to make stuff just, you know, 'poof'! Like 'appear poof', not 'disappear poof'."

Cuddles slapped his forehead with a fin. "That's all very interesting Sari... but we just need some direction." Sari tapped the glass bowl Cuddles called home with her finger. "O-ow! Hey! Quit it!"

"Don't be rude, Cuddles!" Sari scolded. Then turning back to the teacher, she proclaimed, "It's great! Not that I've actually *done* anything yet... But, seems like a magic school to me! Cool beans! I'm sure I'll fit in great!"

'Well I would certainly i'm significantly better at conjuring then you if I'm gonna be your teacher' said Anastasie bourgeois with a laugh.

The teacher paused wondering if that sounded a little conceited rather than confident and continued.

'Although I'm sure you'll be able to beat by the end of the year if jeep up with your studies' she added.

'Anyway let go roundup the other new students and we can start induction shall we?'

"Yes; ma'am!" Sari brightly responded with a stiff (though not nervous) salute.

"Ah... Authority..." sighed Cuddles contentedly. "Everything's finally going to be okay..."

With that, Sari would follow after her teacher, shamelessly trailing behind her in a childishly stiff march. She certainly seems happy.

A salute...really?'' Said the teacher who looked confused for a second until she seemed to work out it was sincere not sarcastic.

'Thanks but no need for that.' She said. 'Think of me as a friend first and faculty member second'

'Let's go see if Molly Polland has arrived and we can start the induction' she said a move to was now growing crowd of schoolgirls.

Molly milled about, but she couldn't tell what was happening up ahead. She needed some help. Surely a teacher or assistant was around to aid the new students.

She noticed an older woman with a fluffy orange-yellow—ulp!—dog, accompanying a girl with her broomstick and a fish. Molly's heritage didn't make her popular with animals, so she was never keen on being near them, especially dogs. Hopefully these were intelligent familiars and her presence wouldn't be too alarming.

She approached, making an awkward smile. "Erm, hi there," she said. "I'm new to Sacré-Cœur. This is the place to be, right?"

Sari waved to the new girl as she approached them. "Hey! Me too! I'm Sari!" she proclaimed upon hearing that this new girl, was herself, new to the school. Once again she offered salute, though this time bonked herself in the head with the broomstick stuck in the crook of her arm instead. "Ow."

Cuddles laughed loudly. "Ah-hahah... Ah, that never gets old."

"Bwaaah... You're so mean Cuddles..."

"You're the one who just blindsided someone with a broomstick. Come on Sari; who's the real mean one here?"

Sari gasped sincerely. "You're right! ...I'm a mon-steeeer!" she cried.

"Bwah-haha... Oh, this is too easy..." Cuddles made no attempt to hide his glee at Sari's reaction.

The Dog growled instinctually as molly came close. The woman quietened it with a look.

'Sorry about that' said the incredibly well dressed women in a slight cajun accent to the new girl.

'he's normally nice he's just not usual to dealing with new students'

'anyway' she said brightly hope to move on before things became too awkward.

'welcome to our school I'm Miss Anastasie bourgeoi alteration, conjuration and summoning teacher at the school so you will be see alot of me.

'I believe your Molly Polland that is correct? What bring you to us?'

That was strange, Molly thought, regarding Sari. She would be a unique one to learn with.

"Yes, yes!" Molly confirmed. "That's me! Please to meet you, Miss Bourgeois. You too, Sari! And it's not your dog's fault; spirits cling to me, so animals don't like me."

She nodded vigorously, thinking she could have done that a little better. Then she remembered the other question given to her. "Er, why I'm here? I, erm, thought this would be a cool place to study. I'm into necromancy, and this place is so old and full of these rotten old cemeteries. I wanna check the tombs out and meet cool ghosts!"

"oh your a persephone right?' said the teacher trying not to sound judgmental.

'I don't really go into that sort of thing -just not really my cup of tea- but you have come to the right place…. Madam La Rue the headmistress use to teach all that creepy sort but she is retied for active teaching now… Her daughter Ebony was planing to take over but got offered for a position in some estemed Yankee ivy school up north… .oh you show of seen the headmistress when she found out….'

Anastasie bourgeois stopped herself knowing she said too much

"Well anyway her little sister Jànbrády La Rue took over… She new yes but she's a La Rue all right and she know all about that spooky wizardly stuff like talking to the dead and summoning spirits… Just don't tell her I said that and what ever ever you do don't mention her sister…. '

Said the women quickly and in a low quit tone.

Molly raised an eyebrow. "Don't mention her sister?" she repeated. She didn't decided not to ask any questions at that moment. It sounded like the teacher didn't want to discuss it further if she was whispering about it. She would be able to find out later if she wanted to.

"So, anyway, yeah, I'm a Persephone," Molly answered. "So Miss LaRue is right for necromancy then? I'll remember that. Thanks!"

Oh just the usual rivalité fraternelle as you know.

The teacher clicked her stylish long manicured fingers and a leather bound note appeared in mid air.

'Okay' she said flicking through the book

Your skilled in necromancer and curses.... Oh healing... I know couple of ranks in that myself... Mainly for dress repair comes in handy...' She said

'Oh art as well! I'll got to take around some of the art galleries'

Molly chuckled nervously. "Dress repair, eh? Well that will come in handy if I ever get a dress. I'd like to help injured people. Being a persephone my healing and curses suffer a little, but my necromancy's just fine."

On the subject of art she broke into a toothy smile, her eyes lighting up. "Yeah, I love drawing! I want to make my own comic some day!"

Once she got over the initial shock of realizing she was a horrible monster, Sari tried to follow along with the conversation. Unfortunately, it was about all sorts of weirdness she knew very little about. It seemed rude to interrupt now, so Sari rocked back and forth upon her heels.

With a grin, an idea came to Sari. A flick of her wrist and her wand was out. "Let's see..." she whispered quietly, so as to avoid interrupting the others. Turning to face away from them, she waved her wand about, quietly whispering, "Fallings as fast as they go but to be as fast as a sloth may be pretty neat!"

Sari attempts to cast a spell to slow herself down (under the presumption that it would make the world seem like it's in fast forward!). Her roll totals a 5.

'Oh you're into those funny books.' Said Anastasie sounding slightly disappointed.

'Well I don't know much about the medium but I'm sure we can do something for you we get together a lesson plan....

Anastasie bourgeois paused while going through her not note and notice that Sari had gone abnormally quite.

'Oh I couldn't of been that boring... She muttered annoyed under her breath.

'Well I suppose I was being rude keep you waiting like that'

The slender woman pulled out golden wand and lightly tapped the shoulder of the small girl who had slowed herself from time.

'wakey wakey' she and went to undid the younger witches spell.

magic die + spell breaker skill. 9. successful

'Sorry for keeping of out the Conversation like that... You glassed over like Shinji does when we go looking for shoes. He just doesn't have an eye for colours.'

'I told you miss... I'm colourblind....' Said shinji annoyed by implication.

'Anyway' said the teacher ignoring him and going through her notebook.

'What do we have for you... Ask yes...

'Conjuration... That's me.... Elementalism, Time and Space... all fine choices' she said familiarise herself.

'Oh...' She said looking slightly disproving.

'It seems you're bit of an athlete from you interests.'

"Not approving of comics," Molly said to herself. "Yeah, should have known..." It was encouraging though that apparently there was some lesson plan for her.

She watched the other witch's spell be dispelled, wondering what life with the hyper one must be like. Just putting a spell on yourself like that! How random. It made Molly giggle since she liked random, at least when it was on television.
