Justice Avengers: A Black Day in Hub City

Garfield crouched at the edge of the wall, cradling his gun carefully with both hands and with his grenade and detonator now back in their holder to be grabbed at a second's notice. He briefly and internally mused on the choice of aliases and why so many hardened killers just seemed to randomly pick an animal, assuring himself that the thought wasn't hypocritical because his alias had been chosen by that giggling idiot and not by himself.

Despite this, he remained focused and kept waiting for a reply from the sniper, although he kept silent and let his employer do the talking.

This post was thumped by the Stick of Post Thumping

"Aaaaah!" Black Tarantula yelled, letting out the first sign of pain as his ribs laid on top of his body. "F-fuck you..." He grumbled as he slid out of the table, bemoaning his fate. The woman, who was still on the floor, looked up at Silvermane and at his bundle of dollars. "Yelena." She croaked with a voice she handn't used in a long time. "Yelena Belova." She finished, bowing to Silvermane's feet. "Thank you... thank you so much."

The Flamingo remained quiet. "Hm. False. I'm gonna go with false." He replied, a red laser ironsight apeparing on the ground just a few feet in front of Will and Garfield. "That pendejo knows that I owe him nothing! Must I write that in your blood to drive this answer through that big head of his?"

Before the fire could do any decent damage to the Golden Armored Man, Etrigan's shaking sent him flying towards the pile of crates Two-Face and his goons were lying behind. The man landed on the pile behind them, seemingly knocked out by the throw and not responding...

Silvermane helped Yolena to her feet, shaking his head.

"I ask my employees a lot, but I don't ask them to bow." He said, before turning his attention to Slade, shrugging. "I was making power plays back in New York. I had fingers in every crime family on the Eastern Seaboard. I was even getting in close with the Old Man before everything in New York went to shit. I left some guys in New York, thankfully, so I didn't lose all that work. I guess the Squid was afraid of me." He smirked. "And now, he really should be."

Two Face and his goons looked over at the gold man. One of the goons pointed his gun at him again, before getting it swatted down by an annoyed Two Face. "Idiot, your gun didn't work on him before, why are you still bothering aiming it at him?"

   Finally, all these fucks are dealt with.   

"Alright, we got a limited time frame here, let's get to work. You two, start moving the boxes to the loading dock. I'll call outside, get them to find us some trucks, place has gotta have some around somewhere. As for you, if ya want the sword, it's all yours, have at it." Two Face said to Etrigan

   Fucking magic bullshit. Say what you want about Gotham, least most people there stuck to the conventional forms of combat.   

"What about..."

   Shut it, asshole, I said most, not all. Besides, at least Ivy could be reasoned with to an extent.    Two Face pulled out his phone. "Ya, it's us, find us some trucks to load this stuff onto. Leave a couple guys at the entrance as a lookout." He hung up as the goons started moving the stuff that was as far away from the golden man as possible.

"Why would you need to get in close with the Old Boss? It's a stupid idea. He cycles through trusted men faster than I cycle through ammo suppliers." Slade said, kicking Black Tarantula on the gut as he recovered his second sword. "You'd just be another name on his books, and he'd probably try to hire me to kill you the moment he thought you were betraying him."

Silvermane snorted as he made his way to the front desk to pick up the phone.

"The Old Boss'd be dead before either of you got the chance." He muttered, then started dialing. "Now shut up, I've got a call to make." He waited for the other line to pick up. "Hey, Herschel. It's Silvio. Yeah, you and everyone else. Look, I had a bit of a mess down at the Bistro. Yeah, the one across the street from the tailor I had Hugo shoot in the face. What? The guy gave me a pink suit. I asked for fuchsia. I know, sloppy, right? Anyway, I need you to send some guys down here tomorrow to clean it up. You're the best, Herschel." Then, he hung up.

"Yes, that is exactly what I'd want you to think." Slade replied, smiling behind his mask, before spotting Terra. "Manfredi." He said, clearing his throat. "Is this supposed to be one of yours?"

Silvermane glanced vaguely over at Terra. She seemed strangely familiar...then, it hit him.

"Oh, right." He said offhandedly. "She was there when you T-Boned my car." After a pause, he awkwardly added "I threw my car at you, right?"

"Good!" Mojo yelled, leaning back on his chair. "I'll check back with you a few weeks from now. I expect great progress from you, Spiral. Do not fail me!" He pointed at the screen, staring at it for a few moments before turning to someone off screen. "Turn it off now, you id—" And the screen went blank.

Spiral smiled contently, confident that she'll be able to meet Mojo's expectations. She had a perfect track record with him up until now. She had a lot of work to do......but first! To chek up on what she missed, primarily the bistro!

Yup, as expected, all the fighters in the bistro managed to fend for themselves. And apparently Terra and Silvermane meet face to face now. Let's see how this goes......

Bistro

"Oh yeah, you did throw a car at me," Terra looked at Slade and Silvermane when Silvermane mentioned the incident, though it was obvious she was on alert for any of them attacking her. "Eh, forget it... I respect anyone willing to do what you did with Yelena."

"I am with Karate Kid," Terra stated simply, ready to summon a rock wall between her and Slade and Silvermane if they attacked. "If that's a problem, then don't expect Terra to go down without a fight."

"Yelena Belova, a Russian name," Terra glanced at Yelena Belova. "You aren't from Markovia, are you?"

Silvermane raised an eyebrow, glancing at Wilson and mouthed "Karate Kid?" What kind of stupid fucking name was that?

Will's mouth began forming arcane syllables, but they drifted, formless without the appropriate will or focus to give them life. He dug into his pocket with jerky, prying motions before pulling out a switchblade, and pushing the blade out. He tried to hold the blade up to see Flamingo in the reflection. "Is it—is the Flamingo sure that there isn't any confusion? Surely there is a lot of money owed to many, but if it can be pressed to remember," He jerked, knocking his own head against the wall to keep him alert, before resuming the reflection trick, "I am sure we can resolve this without bloodshed."

Etrigan

Etrigan was hurt by the throw but noting too serious that would stop him from the battle. Etrigan nodded back at two face. He ran towards the golden armored man before he could react. If this failed he would attempt to negotiate with him, one thing was for sure he would rather die than leave without the sword.

The golden armored man waited until Two Face had his back to him, and slowly reached out towards him, the light illuminating his face, which had been previously covered by the helmet- it was now nothing more than a skeleton, although his organs were still inside of the ex-body, beating, living, a red aura surrounding them as the skelton reached out to grab Two Face...

Will managed to get a glimpse of the Flamingo: a slightly tanned man with completely white hair in a soldier's cut, a thin moustache above his lips, one hand on the sniper and one hand on a pack of sesame seeds carefully planted on the windowsill. "I can't be bothered." He replied. "If I owe money, or if I don't, who cares? I'm not paying. Especially to some two-bit loser like the Shark."

"No." Yelena responded. "I am from Novosibirsk."

At Silvermane's confusion, Slade simply shrugged. "I did call myself 'the Terminator' at one time." He spoke up, mouthing words being impossible when you wore a mask. "Such things taught me to not judge others."

Silvermane groaned at that, pinching the bridge of his nose with one hand, and holding up his other hand as if he were a traffic cop stopping an oncoming car.

"Stop, stop stop. Was that..." he said, almost in pain at the stupidity of it all. "Before or after you saw the movie?"

Etrigan.

Etrigan, afraid of the safety of his new master, put his tow hands together and tried to punch the golden man's stomach as hard as he could.

"Stops your ways or you will regret your days," the demons said to what remained of the golden man.

"... what movie?" Slade asked, raising an eyebrow.

Bistro

"That's a relief," Terra said to Yelena, as she began leaving the room, hoping to not be noticed by Silvermane and Slade while they argued with each other about names.

"The one with that big Austrian fucker. The Terminator. Where he's a robot from the future or something. One of my kids wanted to see it." Silvermane waved a hand dismissively. "Eh, never mind."

"Sounds like a terrible movie." Slade said, before whistling to Terra. "Hey. You. Don't move. I want to see this Karate Kid..." He glanced back at Silvermane. "If I'm right, this guy has been following me for a while. He tried to talk to me about... training him, taking him on as an apprentice. I wasn't expecting him to show up here."

Silvermane shrugged, taking out a pair of cigars, tossing one underhand to Slade.

"It wasn't that bad." He muttered, lighting his own. When Slade mentioned that this...Karate Kid had wanted to be his apprentice, he chuckled. "Bet your Boy Wonder didn't take kindly to that."

Bistro

"...Whatever," Terra stopped trying to leave and sat down to look at the stab wound on her leg. "Just let me tend to my wound."
