New theme music also a box…I do not like the name of this thread. We need to change it. I don’t care if it’s a joke, it just rubs me the wrong way.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Oh yeah,it needs a new title stat
New theme music also a boxuh... the thread's name is the movie's name? Have I missed something?
The former title was "Inside Out: the film about mind control" or something like that. Admittedly, it was weird.
So why were Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling replaced?
Early rumors are that it was a money thing, but then again those rumors also said nobody but Amy Pohler was coming back, so I don't know how accurate that is.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonAbout the upcoming sequel, how is Aniexy any different than Fear since Are they both related to being nervous and scared? Because I know since I was diagnosed with Anxiety disorder, it makes a person scared and worried for almost no reason. Sorry if I got it wrong.
Also, I have a theory that there will be a pink emotion person named Shame judging by the slogan at the end of the teaser.
“What is that? It's The Unknown!”The difference is Pixar doesn't think they can make a cheap, easy sequel using only the old cast and that retreading the existing cast is the best they could come up with.
Geez chill out, I was asking about what’s the difference between the two emotions, not the movie. Why do you have to complain about an upcoming work?

“What is that? It's The Unknown!”Putting it nicer, there really isn't a difference.
To be clear, last post wasn't an attack on you at all.
To actually answer the question, we don't know enough about the plot or characters to know what the difference will be.
SoundCloudIt is possible that the similarity between Anxiety and Fear will be a plot point, with Fear being afraid (hehe) of Anxiety replacing him.
Anxiety is the cutest Fraggle Rock reject I've ever seen.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectInside Out is so heartwarming that even the potential for awkward retcons can't make me pessimistic. So. Wholesome...
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Hopefully it won't be the teenaged-themed version of a classic, like Monsters University was to Monsters, Inc.
Still, if those are the nine emotions, Joy kinda sticks out like a sore thumb as the only outright positive one (even though, I know, I saw the first one).
Also, non-native speaker, here, is there a difference between ennui and boredom? Because "ennui" is supposed to mean boredom in French - although sometimes it's closer to bother depending on how you use it.
My guess is that these new emotions are temporary, and appear and disappear depending on whether Riley's feeling them or not. And they will appear in this movie because whatever Riley goes through is going to be ROUGH (and I guess they didn't appear before because they only manifest in teenagers onward).
We didn't see them in the first movie because none of the people we saw were suffering through them.
I know when making the first film the writers did some research and there was little consensus from psychologists on how many core emotions there are, ranging from 3 to like 30. So they developed the five as a tried and true number for an ensemble. The film made it clear that the emotions emerged over time and were not static, so even though we see the same basic emotions in different characters there is plenty of room in the setting for further development on that front.

Do you not know that in the service one must always choose the lesser of two weevils! To me it comes off as this.
Anxiety is less focused than fear and Fear has more rhyme and reason. (Two of his friends go missing? Tripping over an electric wire? A whole room of new kids in a new school? Legitimate to freak about.)
Ennui is when Sadness just doesn't want to get up from the ground. Not wanting to connect to anyone, which is the use of Sadness.
Since there's 5 old emotions and only 4 new ones, I bet a fifth new emotion will appear midway through.
The Protomen enhanced my life.It is notable that you can connect the four new emotions to four of the old emotions, but Joy is the odd one out.
- Anxious: Fear without reason
- Ennui: Sadness without motivation
- Embarrassed: Disgust at the self
- Envious: Anger at other people having things you want
I wonder if that's intentional and plot-relevant, or just a stretch.

You are right, I had the same train of thought! Each of the four new emotions are the more chaotic and self-destructive counterparts of the four old ones beside Joy, who's The Leader.

Not to mention the first movie doing a good job at showing how Joy can be corrupted into toxic positivity and mania.
Yeah, I'm thinking the ultimate "villain" of the movie might be Joy again, albeit a new character representing her toxic positivity attitude from the last movie made manifest.
I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't seen that they were recast, but that may be because of how long it's been since I saw the first movie.
