So Good Dinosaur got pushed back to November 15, 2015 leaving Inside Out to be the next PIXAR film.

At D23 Expo 2013, it was stated that the synopsis is about Riley, the once happy-go-lucky pre-teen is uprooted from her pleasant life in Minnesota and thrust into a new, unwelcome existence in San Francisco. That’s when the emotions take over, much to the chagrin of her baffled parents. Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Fear (Bill Hader), Sadness (The Office's Phyliss Smith) and Joy (Amy Poehler) spar, collaborate, and miscommunicate with one another in an attempt to keep her functioning, and has to find new friends.

Looks pretty interesting and the casting for the emotions is spot on.

Most of the stuff they've put out recently has been pretty mediocre.

I wonder what this'll be like.

So does this mean we'll be looking at not one, but two Pixar movies in 2015? That's a first.

On one hand, Pixar's recent output has been very disappointing. On the other hand, this sounds like the kind of story which they're good at and are known for. I may give it a chance if the trailers look alright.

If it helps, the film is being helmed by Pixar veteran Pete Docter, director of the first Monsters Inc, the Oscar winning Up and was also the head writer of Toy Story.

To put this in perspective- he's one of the few other Pixar directors to matched Brad Bird in terms of quality.

So I just had a terrible realization - you know how the plot involves a female character who's basically 'taken over' by her emotions?

The Social Justice Warrior crowd is going to have a field day with this thing.

Don't really like the premise of this one.

If anyone can pull it off and keep it kid-friendly, it'd be Pixar, though.

[up] Miles better than Brave IMO, which I found to be offensively mediocre and undeserving of an Oscar win.

Then again, we also had Cars 2.

I really didn't have any problem with that film either. I can see why one wasn't crazy for it though.

That reminds me of an old comedy series....no idea what the English title was, but there was this guy and everytime he had to make a decision, we got a glimpse in his mind where Desire, Love, Ratio and Fear were battling with each other what he should do.

One positive emotion out of five? That's kind of a bleak view on the human psyche, isn't it?
