After that disaster, Levi Solomon set the assault rifle down and set it to safety. Head got hit to fooking hell.

He pulled out the black thing and spoke into it, "ATTAAAAAACKKKKKK!!!"

He opened the door next to him and brought out his shotgun and checked to see that it was loaded. He turned to the driver, "LET'S GIT MOVIN'!"

Leiv barreled out of the car. He tried aiming the gun at the damn Brit when he came into view while accounting for his own movement. *BOOM*

"   I am no one to be commanded, mortal   ," the voice said to Amaterasu.    Your kind call yourselves gods or heroes, but you still have a beginning and end. I am all things... errrrr... I am also a delicious gum ball. Why not taste me? I'm boysenberry flavored.   

Park - Angus

Angus took a moment to catch his breath before getting back to his feet and resuming his battle with the General. Noticing that the General hadn't moved much since the collision, Angus yelled "Oi! You dead yet you undead eejit?"

Daniel

After dealing with Dr. Dead, Daniel hopped on his bike and decided to look for a bite to eat. As Daniel set off in no particular direction he began going off of a mental list of a few decent places to eat in his head. Remembering that he hadn't gotten an opportunity to try The Flying Suplex's food a few weeks back, Daniel headed towards TFS. After taking the long route to the restaurant and going out of his way to avoid the memorial park by several blocks, Daniel finally arrived at The Flying Suplex. Once his motorcycle had been parked, Daniel headed inside and began browsing the menu.

The Flying Suplex

As if his arrival had been an omen of ill fortune, Daniel's entrance was followed almost immediately by a car marked very conspicuously with a red, eight-toothed gear pulling up outside. In short order, a sharply-dressed man(?) in a suit and derby hat stepped into the restaurant, followed by a trio of more obviously generic Autonoma robots, although all of the latter were also carrying Tommy Guns and were outfitted with a similar snazzy wardrobe. The more human-esque one and evident leader snapped his fingers and motioned to one of them, who stepped forward and began to secure the only way into the bathrooms, while the other two flanked their boss at the doorway.

"Good day!" the top henchman announced in a loud New York accent, "I have just recently been informed by His Gearliness, the great Doctor Autonoma, that this establishment, The... Flying Suplex, has been truant on its protection payments for quite some time. Therefore, my boys and myself have been dispatched in order to secure the requisition of said funds from the proprietor. Which of you ladies and gentlemen is the owner of this fine restaurant?"

The Flying Suplex

Tiger blinked and came out of her short trance when Richard spoke to her, claws disappearing.

"Oh, s-sorry, I guess I was hungrier than I thought!" she said, blushing slightly. Loud sounds from inside the restaurant caught her attention before she could ask for any fish. "...Did you just hear something?" Tiger asked, looking back at the building.

Robert's Computer

Sharik's backup went very quickly indeed. It would seem that those folders he'd seen were basically all that Robert kept on his laptop itself, and the real meat of the roboticist's enterprise was probably elsewhere in the lab. Speaking of which, there was clearly a direct connection between the laptop and the rest of Rossum's network. Unfortunately, any further access to said network was password-protected, and evidently by a very elaborate password at that, as the tech mogul would quite easily be able to guess if he tried to brute-force it.

Max, Rossum Labs

After a moment of thought, the junior mechanic shrugged. "Sure, why not? I can never seem to figure the sources of these glitches out myself, anyway. Here, I'll make you a temp account... Thanks, Vigil!"

And thus, in short order, the heroic AI found herself with admin-level access to the heart of Rossum Labs' intranet while her friend muttered something to herself about different paint combinations and began tapping away on her tablet once more.

Park

Amaterasu turned to Alannah. "Where did you say you got this thing?" She asked, attempting to bury the edge of her blade into the side of the orb.

Flying Suplex

Oh. What. Th'. Fuck.

Richard was livid as he stormed towards the figure that had spoken up, tossing his apron aside. "What in th' sam hell are YOU doin'?" He snarled as he grabbed the lead goon by their lapels. "Protection? Th' hell is this? I don't have to PAY ya'll anythin', now get OFF my property 'fore I introduce ya'll to the underside 'f ma boot!"

TFS - Daniel

Good God, can I find a place in this city where insane bullshit isn't going on for ONE DAY?

Reaching into his jacket, Daniel pulled out his revolver and walked over to Richard's side and said "Probably best if you guys walk away. The last thing any of us wants is to have to mess up this perfectly nice restaurant with violence."

"   You will find your sword does nothing to me   ," the strange voice said to Amaterasu's mind. If she looked, she'd see the sword had done nothing to the strange orb. "   But so long as you persist in your maddening endeavor, then I have no choice but to respond in kind.   "

Vigil, Rossum Labs

"No problem." Vigil replied, smiling as she logged on. "I'll make sure not to track mud onto the carpets." With her processing power, it was pretty simple for her to do a sweep of system checks in a few seconds, trying to pinpoint the source of the alert.

Hmm, it's coming from this guy here... The alert seemed to be routed through a connection to am off-site terminal. With her admin access, she gave the system an cursory glance, but as soon as she realised it was a personal machine her restrictions automatically forced her to begin pulling out. She felt a twinge of annoyance. She would have anyway, out of respect for the Rossum's privacy, but being forced to do it was irking.

That was when she saw it.

"Max, this isn't a glitch." The AI's synthesized voice suddenly took on a harder, urgent edge. "Your security has been compromised. Someone's gotten into your father's computer."

Her restrictions let up slightly. She could access a private machine is she was defending it, and the fact that Max had entrusted her with admin access helped her squeeze through that loophole. "Beginning counter-intrusion."

Vigil sprung into action - although maybe a better description would be "crept". Doing her best to remain unnoticed by the hacker for now, she started layering any files the hacker hadn't yet accessed with heavier encryption, stuff of her own design, stacking more of the same in layers behind the password the intruder was currently trying to bypass. She also started a quiet back-trace of their signal - she knew the moment she went overt and actively combated their intrusion they would likely pull the plug. She wanted to find out where he was working from first.

Alannah, Memorial Park

Alannah had picked herself up from the ground, turning to see if Amaterasu was alright. She raised one eyebrow at the japanese heroine as she seemed to hold a one-sided conversation with the black pearl. "The necromancer guy's train car, with some sort of weird statue and a glowing pentagram." She replied, getting to her feet. "It's talking to you? It only said one word to me."

"   Your mind so... foreign. Hard... make... speak good... speak bad.   " Alannah would hear. "   Swallow me.... Make talk... easy... boysenberry.   "

The Flying Suplex

Tiger watched Richard run back into the restaurant, and wondered what was going on.

"Uh, Dad? I think I left something in the car, can I borrow your keys?" she asked.

"Just remember to lock it when you're done, honey," Dr. Carter said, digging through his pockets and giving them to her. Tiger went around the building through the fence and out to the parking lot, stopping to look through a side window. The marks on her skin burned as soon as she saw the confrontation going on, and she quickly went to the car. She unlocked it and pulled out her Golden Disc she hid under a seat, closing the door behind her. Anyone nearby outside would see a quick burst of golden light radiate from the car windows before Durga opened the door again.

She sprinted across the near empty lot to the restaurant door, fueled by the need for justice and her interrupted lunch.

Deadneck's snaking energy wrapped around Susano’o, and with a heave hammered him on the ground a few times. It would have gone on longer but Levi's shotgun blast hit the necromancer square on the side, slipping behind his shield. A few shots from the Mendozas managed to hit him as well. He seemed physically unaffected, but his concentration faltered and he released the Shinto deity and turned around. "Another one for the slaughter? Your corpse in particular will bring me great service. I've never corrupted a servant of light before, so your resurrection will take some research, but, well, when you're in my situation you find you have all the time in the world. Though I suppose your body does me no good if I burn it."

Deadneck's right charged with black magic, and he quickly moved it - to his throat, rather than aiming it at anyone. When he next opened his mouth (presumably, as the outfit made that particular detail impossible to determine), a wailing sound like a banshee. It was almost a beautiful sound, if not for the waves of pain it began to cause in those nearby who were close enough to hear it.

"GRARGHGHG!" the General growled. Despite being upside-down and having the front axle of the car jutting into his back, he continued to grip tightly around Angus's torso. While it would have torn a normal man in two, it was simply pressing tightly against his metal frame, but its grip was tightening the hug with every second. A shotgun-pattern of holes appeared in its clothes.

I wonder where that restaurant was... I mean. It had some good drinks. But I think it would also be nice to try some of the food... Elea walked down the street, lost in thought as she tried to find The FLYING SUPLEX!

Susano'o grunted in pain as the screech reached his ears.    "You... Fool. You think this... Can stop me?"    He said as he swung his sword, sending a bladed arc of wind from it towards Deadneck.

Rail Memorial Park

Deadneck's scream didn't hurt Riza per se — she was too far away for that — but it did startle her and cause her to nearly drop her rifle. That said, she wasn't firing it anyway; instead, she flicked her newest braid around and fired a volley of spikes — hardened hairs, actually, but effectively spikes – toward Deadneck.
That done, she worked on further transforming that braid, trying to get fired spikes to be highly acidic.

Rail Memorial Park

As the Brit spoke, Levi Solomon said, "SHUT YER MOUTH YA DAMN TEA-DRINKIN' BASTAHD! YA BE ONE A DONATELLO'S FOLKS! AH'M GONNA BLAST A HOLE IN THA SIDE A YER NECK IF AYE HAVE TAH DIE TRYIN'!" Levi commanded the orb to hover over the British gentleman and Mr. Fancypants.

Sunnuva...

A hellish wail rang through Levi's ears. He instinctively raised his arms to cover them.

"FOOKIN' HELL YA DIRTY SCOUNDREL! YER SINGIN' SOUNDS LIKE A MAHN FOOKIN' A DRAGON-SHEEP! GAAAGGGHHH!! SHUT YER WHININ' ALREADY!"

Thinking quickly, Levi Solomon let down his gun and pulled out a grenade he obtained earlier, looking over it briefly. He pressed on the trigger, and then lobbed it toward the Brit.

Shit... The blast might hit the swordsman fashion disaster.

Park - Angus

Realizing that the General wasn't likely to let go any time soon, Angus promptly took hold of the zombie's head with both hands and began to squeeze with all his might.

The Flying Suplex

The head bot lifted an arm calmly and attempted to pry Richard's hands off himself. "Are you the owner of The Flying Suplex? Listen, you've been behind on your payments for quite some time now. The Doctor is a patient and understanding man, but you can't just not pay-" He paused as he noticed Durga's sudden arrival.

"Oh, thank goodness, Hero!" he exclaimed, turning to smile at her, "You're just in time! This man is violating the law by refusing to pay his back taxes! Please, won't you help me talk some sense into him?"

Max - Rossum Labs

"C-C-Compromised?!" Max's head shot up from what she was doing, the can of paint she was holding up going slack and falling directly onto her foot. "Ow! Owowowow! That's- That's really bad! I don't know that much about hacking, so I guess I can't really do anything to help, but do your best, Vigil!" The green-eyed young woman pumped her fist in the air, and then pulled out her phone. "If it's that serious, I should probably let Papa know..."

A few seconds later, the cellphone Sharik had been using as an entry point began to vibrate.

The Flying Suplex

Durga hesitated when she heard the head bot say something about Richard violating the law. Weren't the robots breaking into the restaurant? This didn't make sense anymore. Looking confused, she thought back to earlier. Judging from Tiger's memories of Richard, he didn't fit a criminal profile, yet the robots claimed that he refused to pay his taxes, and when she had entered, Richard was threatening the robot. Who was guilty here?

"...How do I know which of you is lying and which is telling the truth?" Durga asked, eyes moving from one to another.

TFS

Richard turned to look at Durga as she arrived. "Hey, ya were at th' museum last night." He said, his eyes widening. "Glad ya made it out o' th're aight. But anyway, this piece-a-shit robot here's lyin'. Paid my taxes up t' date an' everythi', he's just tryin' to rob me under th' guise o' "Protection." If'n ya want to take a look-see, I keep my tax records in th' closet ova' thar." He said as he gestured to the closet.

Rail City Park

Amaterasu shrugged as she handed the orb back to Alannah. "Not sure what much we can do with it, but I think exposing it to sunlight might have something to do to it. Can I trust you to get that as far away from Zombie Boy as possible?" She said as she spun her blade in one hand before looking back to the fight.

Deadneck stopped his banshee screech, stopping the effects of the noise immediately as he brought his hands up to once again conjure a shield of black magic to shelter him from Susano’o's attack. And then a friendly grenade found itself near his feet.

"Goddamn," he muttered, throwing himself to the ground a few feet from the device as it detonated, showering him and Susano’o in a horrific maelstrom of shrapnel. The Shinto deity got the worst of it, but the lich still had his back rained down on by the fragments, as well as what few spikes Riza managed to hit him with when he radically shifted his position. Still, though, he seemed unscathed.

Several feet away, the large zombie grappled with Angus, not giving in as he put his hands to Angus's wrists and kept the pressure off of his head. He would be able to overpower the Scotsman quickly, but the zombie suddenly roared out in agony, as his legs seemed to explode out from under him. It was followed by his back getting torn apart by some unseen force, and his arms suddenly losing strength. With the opposing force gone, Angus's grip met no resistance as it clamped onto the zombie, and his head exploded somewhat messily.

But even in death, the summoned zombie had one last gift, as it disappeared in the a fiery explosion, as did its cross.

Alannah gingerly picked the pearl back up using one of her tendrils - she still felt decidedly iffy about touching it with her bare skin. She looked up and around at the columns of night surrounding them and nodded.

"OK, leave it to me." She said, secretly glad for an excuse to get away from the fight, and secretly guilty that she was glad. "Be careful!"

And with that, she turned and ran for the edge of the park.

Apartment Complex

Kelsey slipped out the door of the apartments furtively. She couldn't let anyone see her, especially not her worrying parents. No one had seen her change before, and yet she still felt like she was being watched. She made her way cautiously towards a back alley. There would usually not be anyone back there, but the tingle at the back of her neck made her wary.

She pulled the amulet out of her shirt, looking at it. It glistened with a distant light. When she felt like she was alone, slipping behind a corner, she turned it over to look at the inscriptions on the back.

"A thousand days, a thousand—" she started quietly, but was interrupted by the sound of someone approaching. She instinctively gasped, then covered her mouth. Someone WAS approaching. If anyone saw her back here, she'd be toast. She tried to slip behind some garbage cans.

CRASH! CLATTER!

Nope. They weren't having any of it. The cans toppled, leaving the bags on the ground. The footsteps got louder, and quicker.

She had to get to the other side so she could slip out the other way. Quick. She made her way towards the other exit of the alleyway, all the while trying to get a good look at the amulet. It was hard to read in a pinch.

"A thousand days... a-a-a thousand n-nights... lend me—" She couldn't finish before she heard someone speak up.

Park - Angus

If Angus hadn't been coated from head to toe in iron, he likely would have been killed by the explosion. Instead the Scotsman was sent flying through the air and into a nearby tree, splintering it in the process. After a brief recovery, Angus was once again on his feet and ready to get back into the fight.

Rail was a city full of witchcraft and it disgusted The Witchfinder General. Not only were these witches allowed to roam free throughout the city, some of them were idolized as heroes and allowed to execute justice as they saw fit. This could not be allowed to continue any further.

As he walked the streets of Rail, Hopkins went out of his way to get a good look at everyone he passed, lest he let a witch escape his grasp. It was at this point that The Witchfinder General spotted none other than Kelsey Wright leaving her apartment. It was immediately apparent to Edward that she was likely a witch and thus needed to be killed. After reaching into his robes and drawing his sword, Hopkins followed followed Kelsey into the alley and said "Any last words, witch? Or would you prefer to die in silence? The choice is yours, make it quick."
