It sounds like Ironwood is far more useful than you make it out to be. Once again, the crown wanted to make an ENTIRE Fleet out of Forrester Ironwood. And Forresters seem to have a near monopoly on the resource because, unlike the Whitehills and others, they care for their lands and maintain their wood population. Moregryn even seems to suggest that the Forresters practically have a monopoly by the 'We could control the price of Ironwood together' comment.

[up]However, the ironwood situation is made MUCH more difficult by virtue of the Boltons forcing the Forresters to share with the Whitehills. They no longer have the monopoly they once did.

True, but like Tyrion points out, making a deal with the Crown to cut the Whitehills out means that Ludd would have to go through the Forresters to sell his to the crown. And, it seems the Whitehills give up on selling their wood to the crown once Mira gets in the way since Andros is planning the Sellsword thing.

Iroonwood is strong and useful, but not so much that the Forresters would be considered much by the major players. Dealing with Houses like the Forresters is related more to day to day business and economics than it is an important House. If you're trading with them, good, if not, you can manage. Perhaps somewhat notable but not anywhere close to the levels of the Freys, the Mormonts, or Tarth. Let alone a Great House.

Its part of why this game works so well for me: we really get to be in the "commoners" shoes here (as much as the Forresters are commoners: they're not smallfolk). The Great Houses, Dany, ect. are intimidating and dangerous not matter how sympathetic or unsympathetic they are.

[up]That's one thing I did like too. We're seeing more of the people suffering.

But, Marg just doesn't make sense to me here.

Anyway, even though this is set in the tv show universe and not the books, assuming the Forresters do join up with Stannis, then the Forresters will probably gain more breathing room by the end of this season of the game.

[up][up]If the Forresters end up as the sole distributor of ironwood, people would become more suspicious of Margery, since one of her handmaidens is a Forrester, they may think Marge was responsible, and may be trying to increase her own power. And since the Lannisters and Tyrells are on rough terms, and the Lannisters are the main power in King's landing, that makes things more difficult for Margery, by placing her in sight of more people. Furthermore is the matter of how Tyrion, whom Mira has to go through for the deal, is very unpopular in King's landing.

Ok, I see your point. I just kind of feel Marg is being rather bitchy about it. Its... holy shit. This is supposedly one of your best friends and you're treating her like dirt despite PERFECTLY reasonable motivations.

She was probably not telling the whole truth when talking to Mira about the latter being one of her best friends. More likely she was trying to calm Mira down and be supportive so she'd be more comfortable talking to Cersei.

I disagree. The point of that line in the first place was to establish the relationship and character of Mira for us to roleplay them as. If Margeary and Mira are supposed to be as close as sisters, Marg is sure treating her an awful lot like dirt.

[up]Most likely, Mira had never done anything like this before the events of the game. Now that Mira is doing stuff Margery doesn't like, it's no longer as simple.

Ramsay? Is this a shock? I mean, he was one in the TV Show.

And done. I hope Elaena's all right...it doesn't look like anything terrible was done at Ironrath but still...

[up]In my playthrough, there were Arrows and blood shown.

BTW, here's a gif of what happens if you attack Whitehill with Royland and Arthur. Everyone still dies, but its interesting. Also of note, it actually shows Gwyn being hit by an arrow.

Well I took the Glenmore men along, so it appears Ramsay just walked in without a problem.

I didn't take the Glenmores, and Ironrath was basically a ghost town.

I really hope I didn't cause them all to die. I figured Ironrath needed the protection more than I did. Cause if Ironrath falls, we're just fucked. But as long as Talia and Royland are alive, there's still a chance.

Oooo, this was fun! Mira got to play the game, flirting a bit with Lyman, and using "courtesy armor" more than claws-out. It was hilarious when Andros lost his shit in front of the whole party. And fuck yeah I helped Sera get some. Sera intervened before Margaery could get to Mira. Maybe I'm naive and will be proved wrong, but I like that, for now, Mira using the carrot more than the stick seems more beneficial. Pushing their friendship instead of blackmailing Sera, being sympathetic to Lyman, etc.

I called Ludd's bluff and it was glorious.

Also, ARTHUR! Where has this Northern hottie been hiding? Liked him muchly.

Oh, at the start of Gared's story, if you botch the escape, Frostfinger nails you with a crossbow bolt.

Also Why does Cotter's sister look like a Targ?

And anyone else think Dany was kind of an asshole this episode?

I did the escape pretty easy.

Also even though I doubt Ramsay did anything to anyone at Ironrath I really hope that no one died. I mean, he didn't hurt Talia (even though I TOLD HER TO HIDE IN THE GROVE WHAT THE HELL SIS) and I didn't really give them any reason to hurt anyone else.

[up][up] I actually thought that Cotter's sister looked more like one of the Children of the Forest than anything else.

Probably has something to do with the North Grove. Interesting...

Well you are a sellsword that just waltzed into camp, claiming you'd seen her dragon, and wanting part of her army.

What's making me annoyed is that next episode she apparently goes back on her word.

I wonder if Dany's higher jerk level is due to who you are.

The Forresters were bannermen to house Stark, who in turn are one of the houses to help Robert Baratheon overthrow Dany's father. She may still hold a grudge.

Doubt it. Dany doesn't know much about the Houses of Westeros outside of what her brother told her, at least in the books. More likely she is acting that way for two reasons: One, Dany isn't nearly as benevolent or just as she believes herself to be, and because you are talking about her dragons and may have gotten into a fight with Drogon.
