I don't know about Barnes being Bane, but one of Strange's Indian Hill patients was a Bruce lookalike. If memory serves he's evil.

The Bruce clone was kidnapped by the Court of Owls lady. And it's nice to see Bruce's journey to Batman continue.

One more trailer before the return next week.

I found the riddle segment with Lucius nice, showing that some of the riddles had multiple possible answers.

As someone who wanted Oswald and Edward to stay together I just want to point out that Nygma never hallucinated whats-her-face when Oswald killer her.

Ah, the fate of a disposable love interest who will probably never turn out to have been anything more than a plot device.

Especially weird when we know shapeshifters, human cloning and bringing people from the dead are all things that exist in the Gotham universe.

True. I mean, Edward was in Arkham and saw all that first-hand while sneaking about. One would think he'd at least try to bring his beloved back to life.

Also, even that small scene with Ivy reminds me what a terrible character she is in the show. She was fine as this barely-there, quiet child with her plants (I mean, why would every major future villain have to have a main role in the show?); now she's another character with little purpose eating time from the actual plot, right there with Barbara, Butch and sister Galavan. Not to mention that the aging-up aspect never stops being creepy.

I loved the theories that she was set up by the Court of Owls to deliberately gain power over Ed, or to screw over Penguin. But it seems less likely every day.

Thinking about it, all we need is for Ra's and Bane to make appearances and I think we have all the major Gotham villains on screen at some point. (Well, except for Harley.)

Also, Lee is still angry at Jim for killing her husband in order to protect her from being brutally murdered in a jealous rage.

You know I would take Ivy up on that offer to confirm his loyalty. The so called dumb goon that is loyal tends to be the first person that ends up stabbing you in the back.

This kind of shit can drive someone insane, I don't care how mystical it is.

For a guy that thrives on being underestimated, Pengers is terrible about underestimating others.

I don't like how this is the opposite of Ra' al Ghul's whole deal, and that he's responsible for creating Batman as a symbol.

Whatever the impetus for his creation, as long as Batman's not part of the Ancient Conspiracy, I'm not utterly opposed to this.

Nice callback to Batman Returns for Selena. Also, James is a member of the Court. Wtf, Jim.

Riddler versus the Court

Sending Bruce to his training does keep him out of the plot while giving him something to do.

The irony is her plan resulted in riddler being taken to the court and off the board.

I love this show.

For some reason, I enjoyed this episode much more than any of the others in a while. The whole freak family thing was kind of cute, even if it was cheesy in a sort of Saturday morning cartoon villain team-up way, which it kind of is. The conversation between Not!Bruce and Kathryn actually made me feel for the guy. And for the first time in the show's run I felt like the dynamic between Barbara, Tabitha and Butch worked, with Barbara as the lunatic egomaniac, Tabitha as the scorned straight man, and Butch as the jaded veteran who just spectates all the crazy from the sidelines with weary amusement.

Also, I kind of wish that the end scene was the cats coming to eat Selina. I wouldn't oppose it if the show wanted to Maroni her.

Alfred better be able to tell that isn't Bruce. He of all people should know.
