Not!Bruce might just be an original character. Also, he doesn't seem to know who Bruce Wayne is, so he most likely isn't a version of Hush or anything similar. I'm thinking that he's some sort of clone who's looking for his identity.

I like that Penguin and Nygma still retain their relationship. Cannot say same about Barbara and whatsherface. I did like Vale a lot, though that might just be that it's pretty easy to compare favorably against the other female characters in the show.
It also seems like that Indian Hill had a whole series of experiments based around creating Killer Croc, as there has been at least a couple of different scale-covered monsters just this episode.
Also, is Mr. Fountain of Youth an original creation or just someone I haven't heard of?

Gordon seems to be trying a bit too hard to be a gritty mercenary only in it for the money. It makes him easy to manipulate.
So far I'm not regretting being out for the premiere.

Gordon will continue riding his edgy phase for most or all of the season. Although, I think that he'll go back to the GCPD within this half. It could even be within a few episodes, but I doubt it. Really, I just want to see his ending the season with a promotion. He could become a sergeant without the show feeling like it's getting too far ahead of itself. That's still only one notch higher up the ladder.

I do agree that Penguin should have shot fish, but she played on his love for his mom by equating himself to his mother in crime.
We already met Tommy Elliot in season 1, though.
