Yeah, the current name is whiny and flamebaity.

I'm loving the World Trigger Anime so far. Osamu's "CHIKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" screams are both irritating and amusing.

Also, I loooove Osamu but his overconfidence got the aforementioned CHIKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA turned into a cube.

And I didnt know you could Transfer Trion by touch, complete with "Trigger Link" voiceover. Also how Could Chika use her friend Natsume's trigger?

Note that this thread was created back when this manga didn't even have trope page.

Toei seems to have had low budget on early episodes at least. Lot of cheap looking bad animation and offmodel stuff ._.;

Ok Ok, Sorry. I thought the Topic Creator wanted to complain and I was mistaken.

Also, that was back in the old times before Weekly Manga Recap guys started loving the series xD They started out weekly commenting on duckfaces and later on they started genuinely liking the manga. While before that, as someone who listened the podcast I was just confused "Wait, whats this about duckfaces" .-.

Im very glad they changed their minds. I wouldnt mind if they didnt like it, but liking stuff is better than hating or disliking.

Sorry, its just that the first post was kinda blurry, I read it once really fast and then ignored it.

Not gonna lie. The thread title gave me a good chuckle.

@Aegis: Osamu getting a burst of overconfidence only to get wrecked because he lacked the skill to back it up or didn't think his actions through is going to be a reoccurring thing. It's one of my favorite elements of this series, second only to the team centered battle tactics.

Too bad the most epic example of this won't be getting animated anytime soon due to the ongoing filler arc.

I see. I actually look forward to that. Im not actually upset or even irked, I just noted it.

I like that Osamu is such a flawed yet noble character.

Aye. He doesn't have the most interesting personality, but it's really great to watch such a legit underdog character persevere through all of the challenges the manga throws at him.

Recently I learned that the reason the manga's release schedule is so wonky is that the author has to take frequent breaks due to a painful chronic illness. The most recent arc is finally getting exciting again after the three month build up and I can't wait for more, but at the same time I don't want him to push himself too hard.

As for the anime...eh. Nothing to write home about. It's like a Pokemon movie featuring World Trigger characters.

That's true. Too bad I can't say the same about the World Trigger anime.

Actually, scratch that. The fight scenes do look nice, especially the one in the most recent episode. It's the non-action segments that don't look nearly as terrific.

But I'm no animation expert, so I'm not sure if I'm getting used to the animation or if the studio is putting a bit more effort into it.

I'm start to read this manga, i am just in Vol. 3.

I think who i get a new obsesion.

There was a popularity poll where the readers voted on their favorite chapters, and I believe the one that was ranked the highest was from Volume 3.

Interesting. They voted for the exact point where the manga started to improve greatly.

Made sense. This series has potential.

@Shiny Tsukkomi: I know, that was the joke. Toei anime always have mediocre animation...unless you are Precure, then it fluctutes between mediocre and amazing.

The Tamakoma newbies are getting their fourth team member: Hyuse!

I did like the double bluff maneuver in the most recent chapter.

Loving Tamakoma's new strats! And the creepy part of me loves that Migumo and Kuga are interacting more. No, that's not a typo, I'm just calling him Migumo from now on. Notice how Chikako stopped the Ibis bombardment after the other squads moved in? Then Kuga goes for the stronger squad on his own. Migumo just has to stall for time while Chikako changes her sniping position and loadout. She already completed her main job of moving the other squads to the wires. The lead bullets are to support Kuga and whatever Migumo can do offensively. I think that Tamakoma-2 can make the away team with this strategy, but what happens on enemy turf, or even flat ground?

Thank god you guys posted again. The anime ended, which isnt all that tragic, it can resume when the manga ends. Oh and English dub by Ocean Group announced.

I do wonder if Mikumo is only planning on stalling for time. There could always be another trap inside the trap. Ugh this is why I prefer binge-reading this series

To anyone who watched the final filler arc of the anime: How does it compare to the rest of the show? I stopped watching when they started the new arc because I hate it when a story goes to a random side story, but if it was as good as the rest of the show I might stomach watching it.

B-rank wars still ongoing. Tamakoma Second's opponents know their tricks so it'll be a lot harder for them to clinch a win this time around. Osamu in particular is going to have to really rack his brain.

Nice maneuver from Chika there. She should really learn to dispatch opponents. Probably could have damaged Ouji with the normal Hound.
