I say this every time a costume discussion comes up, but . . . Captain Marvel. Carol Danvers. Her new uniform just looks great. The colours work well, the star burst is cool, the sash is a great way of maintaining some of Carol's history. It suits her perfectly, and is just a dynamic, well-designed uniform.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.recently I've been gushing over the new Ultimate Spider-Man's outfit,◊ but there are just so many great outfits coming out, it's hard to narrow down.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.... the new Ultimate Spider Man costume looks oddly like the Spidey's Secret War costume◊.
Anyways, as to my favourite costume... that's oddly easy for me. I've always liked Guardian's◊ (James Macdonald Hudson) costume. Slick, iconic, and very, very Canadian

Give him a Mountie hat and have him hold a bowl of poutine.
Lafayette StrongThis might be a guilty pleasure of sorts, but I've always loved the Golden Age Green Lantern's get-up. Is it too much—too many colors and too many design elements going on? Sure ... but that's part of its charm for me. It's just so PULP—none of that '50s Zeerust sci-fi slickness, thankyouverymuch, and to hell with modernist minimalism and "clean lines." The blousy shirt, the thongs cinching up his boots, the chain clasp on his cloak ... the earliest versions even have freaking JODHPURS. Suck it, Gil Kane!
"She was the kind of dame they write similes about." —Pterodactyl Jonesyour love of Golden Age!Green Lantern has reminded me of how much i like Silver Age!Batman. i don't see why recent costume designers have become terrified of bright colors, but i like blue Batman.

Out of every superhero, vigilante or villain which of their outfits is your personal favorite?
Maybe because it's flashy, maybe because it's a very effective at identity protection, maybe it's really practical, maybe it has the potential to be iconic or maybe because it just looks terrifying?
