Are you using Chrome?
Because I've just tried on Chrome and Firefox. Works on Firefox, but not on Chrome. I'm pretty sure it worked yesterday on Chrome because I haven't installed anything on this browser for about one month.
EDIT: I've tried the Google custom search in another site (on Chrome) and it works. I've also tried on IE and it works too. So it must be a problem between TV Tropes and Chrome.

Try disabling Ad Block for this site. I had mine activated and search results wouldn't show. Now that I disabled it, they show up once again.

Every time I try to search on this site, it brings me to what looks like a results page, but it just says "loading" and doesn't do anything else.
