• Name: Ron Raknisson
• Gender: M
• Age: 60
• Appearance: Ron has not aged well. He is an extremely weathered, skinny old man, frail and tree-like. He is completely bald, and has big, sunken, watery blue eyes. He wears glasses, workman's boots, and a lot of flannel. He walks with a cane.
• History: Ron was in the war! A fairly decorated veteran, Ron Raknisson's family immigrated to America when he was young, and as a result he was instilled with a powerful faith in the United States, and authority in general. They got to be authority figures for a damn reason, and as a result when he was told to go to war he did! Of course while he was there he saw some shit, yes. But the thing is, he never saw an officer crack, never saw a man in charge lose his guts. He came back from the war and became a teacher for awhile, then he retired. Played a lot of billiards, read a lot of books. Then some damn god-thing talked to him and all the lights in his house exploded. Well, whatever that thing was telling him about seemed true; time to go find the other people like them, get them the fuck together, and lead this rag-tag bunch of misfits like he should, as a goddamn authority figure.
• Personality: Ron is a mean, frustrated old man with a lot of faith in authority. He's still trying to get used to the fact that, as the generally oldest person in the room, people turn to him for advice now. He instructs as best he can, because these people trust him like he trusted people back in the day. His speech is sort of uneven in tone, alternating between sage advice and growled motherfucking profanity, becoming more and more aggressive about it the more times he gets talked over or contradicted by some teenager who never shot a gun in their life. His position as a Herald to an Icon is viewed more like a job than anything else—he has no personal attachment to this, but fully understands that the Icon is in the right and that he shouldn't really doubt what he's doing.
• Element: Electricity
• Powers:
  • Acceleration—by making the electrical connections in his brain drastically more efficient and powerful, Ron can make his brain work significantly faster than normal. However, since a great deal of effort is expended to make sure such a precise operation works, Ron can really just think. It doesn't give him super speed or reflexes, just all the time to plan that he'll need.
  • Current—Ron can charge his body with a strong current, equivalent to a police-grade tazer.
  • Redirection—While he can't spontaneously generate lightning bolts from his body, Ron can take sources of electricity like plugs, light sockets, or thunderclouds, and bring that electricity out as an attack.
• Other: He's a damn fine shot with a rifle, and is fully trained in self-defense. While he personally is getting a little on in years and can't really fight hand-to-hand, and he got rid of his gun when his license expired and he didn't see the need for it, he can, at least, teach someone else how to kill a man, which is pretty damn important.

Gender: Male

Age: 22

Appearance: Short-average height. Lean build. Messy brown hair and perpetual bags under his eyes, and a wardrobe that looks like it was raided from a laundry basket. Always shifting and twitching, looking everywhere ‘’except’’ in people’s eyes.

History: Gavin actually had a fairly ideal life, with a good childhood and fairly loving family. Despite this, he’s struggled with intense depression and compulsive behavior from an early age, only made worse by his ADHD. Unsurprisingly, teenage-Gavin found the danger and exhilaration of parkour alluring. He’s been backflipping away from his problems ever since.

Personality: Gavin is a bit unstable, and prone to spontaneous, reckless decisions. He’s very jittery, even with his meds. If he’s not moving, all that energy becomes self-destructive. But when relatively calm, he tries to be a nice person, even if it only comes out at failed humor.

Element: Energy

Powers:

• Conversion: Namely- kinetic and potential. When running or traveling at high speeds, Gavin can twist that energy into directing himself to a higher area- basically rudimentary teleportation.

• Momentum: With most non-life threatening attacks, he’s able to reflect a portion of that damage back at his attacker. (He still gets the full force of the hit when he does this, though, so he still avoids doing this too often.)

Other: Very proficient in free running and other such activities. There is always at least one energy drink stashed on his person. If you want to see the full wrath of concentrated energy, try stealing one of them.
